I assume the easiest way to program these things is with software that you can just "guide" to the right move-through points and record them? And then add in sensor checks/interrupts/waits later?

boost the economy, give your robots a salary and program them to consume goods. You got the working part done

If the job is repetitive and prone to injuring the worker through muscle injuries than the robot is a godsend. The workers can all learn to service the robots and babysit them and then there is oil drilling work. Now that is where robots are desperately needed and the Swedes have come up with some amazing rough neck bots to do the brutal drill floor work.

One thing that is not clear to me is why use three laser sensors to triangulate the position of the case when the vision system is supposed to be able to detect this anyway since it's already used to survey the pallets. It can also survey the cases. But good integration work StrongPoint and thanks for the share FANUC

Impressive speed and automation. I imagine a human would get quite sore lifting at that speed for eight hours straight. 24 bottles of beer is like 12L or 32.5 lb/15kg roughly since beer is slightly more sense then water which would be 12kg and the weight of the reinforced cardboard and glass containers x24.

Math Made Fun Yeah I say give it to the robot doing this kind of work. I ought to know, as I can remember, years back, loading up pallets of boxed bottled water rolling down the line (weighing around 40lbs a pop), over and over, in a poorly ventilated factory at that, is NO summer holiday on the Riviera. Trust me.

which variable is responsible for the speed of movement of the robot, now the maximum is 2000mm, do i need 5000?

I wonder how long it took to recoup the cost of six robots to move a box?

If you factor in the cost of work injury litigation, discrimination and harassment cases, health insurance, the cost of HR, etc overhead - about 1 day :-)
@steveb63666 жыл бұрын
Suppose this system (robots, end effectors, safety fencing, freight, programming, installation, etc) was a $4MM purchase. If there were 2 shifts of 8 people doing this job, that's 16 people per day @ approx $45,000/yr each, once you factor in benefits/insurance, etc. That's $720m/yr, or 5.5 yr payback. Most companies will not spend on large cap X purchases if the pay off is over 5 years, but, factor in just 1 or 2 injuries a year, and that payback can easily drop under the 5 year mark to make this feasible. Hope this helps!

It depends on which robot, what system, if you're integrating and programming yourself, etc. The robots here are likely around $50,000 -75,000 each. Add in programming, conveyors, cages, logic, pallet infeed system, etc. and you're probably looking at a $750,000 - $1.25 million system.

This can be to our advantage, we just need an economic system that can allow for people to work less.
