Automated Powder Coating Line: Start to Finish

Did this for 2 years with replica line and booth design, only was given a carpenters mask. Came home a different color every day, some days like Shrek, others like papa smurf

I worked the line doing similar work. The shit was back breaking. Production was fast, constantly moving and lifting 8 hours a day with one two breaks.

I’ll stick with wet coat, powder coat is the most boring annoying job I have ever had in my life

@@alexgaona5682 its so easy, I used to shoot wet coat in the aerospace industry, moved to a new company that does powder coat for agriculture equipment. they are worlds apart in technical difficulty to paint. I have told people that the parts basically paint themselves. there are ways to screw it up, but there is nothing to consider about how you are going to paint, how you are going to set up your part, nothing like that. you just wave your little plastic gun around on the part, where you need to put paint. one coat will get you the right mils, check your corners real quick maybe do touch up and your done. its worse if you have an automated set up with 16 guns that will paint the part themselves, then the only thing the painters do is touch up. nothing gets leftover for humans.
