Im glad you remembered my proposal for the Space CO2 farm. Also: Capturing heat from rockets isnt that big of a project. All you have to do is launch them from bunker tiles, then put a layer of diamond window tiles below them, connect them to a steam turbine setup at one side and you are finished. Actually diamond window tiles transfer heat more efficient than diamond temp-shift plates, so you might wanna do it. You can also hook up your regolith farm to an autosweeper and just send it in a conveyor loop through a steam turbine setup, to use its heat for extra power generation. I hope I was helpfull to you in terms of Ideas once again. Keep up your good work! Sincerely, a big fan from Germany

Honestly, only once the dupes start instabuilding rocket modules do you relise just how busted super dupes are.

I'm pretty sure the steam engine doesn't care what you pump into it, it only stores the steam, and vents the rest out the bottom without damaging the steam engine at all. I found that out after I had spent several cycles pumping oxygen and polluted oxygen into mine, when setting up my steam production system, it was just venting out the bottom causing bubbles in my cooling pool. I don't think it should work that way, but it was working that way.

The regolith on your solar panel at 18:18 is probably from those pesky shove voles. They will vomit it up in piles and melt your stuff, almost as reliably as a drecko escaping through a door. I lost quite a few pieces of equipment to them before hunting them to extinction.

Hey Brothgar! I'm really enjoying the longer videos! It's very interesting to see how all of your crazy contraptions translate into an actual save file. Thank you for the great content!

You don't have to make your walls double thick with bunker tiles. You can use insulated tiles on the outside so that you aren't wasting steel.

why not use regolith as powersource? using door conveyor would allow you to move everything (mostly) to one spot. move them ontop of sideways door (airlock) that drops them into heat chamber (which can be simple as line of metal tiles leading to boiliing chamber. with vacuum all heat goes only on metal tile.) or directly to boiling chamber for steam generator; much like you have done with lava-geyser. Or if you really like, use auto-sweepers. Free energy, because there is never too much free energy!

I wonder if temp shift plates would be better for a hot box to separate it from the vacuum of space...

Maybe do the regolith sweeper above the rocket, since the regolith that falls on reentry damages the rocket a bit

28:38 So exciting my annoying tooth which has been loose for weeks and being a pain in the mouth every time I ate jump out! I was literally just sitting there, then it fell from the top of my mouth and landed on the bottom. If it were on my jaw, I wouldn’t have noticed it (Until I tried to swallow).

I my experience you don't spend enough time in steam rockets to set up any recycling of the steam. Just do the minimal effort to get the research done and plow right into petrol rockets. Save time, one of your most valuable resources.
