Automatic and manual feature recognition - Catia v5 Methods - Example from the online documentation

Sorry this is one of the "old" videos - without audio commentary and low resolution. I will try redo all the "old" ones in HD and with audio commentary. I ´ve reuploaded many of these "old" ones already in HD and with audio commentary. Head over to my blog for the complete listing.
This part is from the catia v5 online documentation, it works again. But all these examples are very special. So usually you have to make a drawing from the dummy part and start from zero.

Hi, just go to -> view ->toolbars->part design feature recogntion and then drag all toolbars on the rightside into the workspace. Maybe your license is without this tool.

LOL you should not watch my old videos which were intentionally made in low res. From october 2012 on I´v made them at least in 720p and later on all in 1080p. In order to redo all my "old" ones I need a lot of time and a lot of money, because time is money! I will redo all of them in time.

Hi ! Please explain what you want to do precisely! You can´t copy a part in partdesign withcompass, because you can´t copy a part in a part. You could copy a body or a feature in a part. So maybe you want to copy a part in an assembly? Anyway I´m not aware that you could copy anything with the "compass" at all.
