Function
Their main function is to distribute the fluid in the pipes leading to the cylinder chambers.
Like the contactor associated with an electric motor, the distributor is the pre-actuator associated with a pneumatic cylinder.
Establishment of a distributor
The distributor comprises a slider, or drawer which moves in the body of the distributor. It closes or opens the holes through which the air circulates (holes 2 & 4).
Schematic representation of distributors
The representation of a distributor is done using boxes. There are as many squares as possible positions. Inside the boxes, the air passageways are represented for each of the positions.
To characterize a distributor, it is necessary to define the number of ways or orifices as well as the number of positions (example 3/2 distributor: this distributor has 3 orifices and 2 positions)

The connection of the pipes is represented on the box symbolizing the resting state of the distributor. To understand how it works, you have to imagine that the pipes are fixed and that it is the squares that move in front of the pipes, and not the other way around.
Different types of distributor
Its size and type depend on the cylinder:
if the cylinder is single-acting and therefore has only one orifice to supply, a distributor with only one outlet orifice is used: 3/2 distributor with three orifices (pressure, outlet, exhaust) and two positions;
if the jack is double-acting and therefore comprises two orifices on which it is necessary to alternate the states of pressure and exhaust, a distributor is used comprising two outlet orifices. Two possibilities are offered:
- 4/2 distributors with four ports (pressure, outlet 1, outlet 2, exhaust) and two positions.
- 5/2 distributors with five ports (pressure, outlet 1, outlet 2, exhaust 1, exhaust 2) and two positions;
In special cases where it is necessary to immobilize or de-energize the double-acting cylinder, a 5/3 valve (five ports, three positions) with closed center or open center is used.

نعم يمكن اخي لان البنوماتيك نتحكم فيه بواسطة إلكتروفان تشتغل ب 24v او 220v على حسب كل واحدة.اذا نتحكم في البنوماتيك بواسطة automat
