Thank's for the nostalgia trip... when I was about nine years old, (Jeez, that's 65 years ago!) my father took on a contract to manufacture thousands of tapered fittings which were to be soldered into the ends of quarter inch copper tube in pneumatic systems. He converted a Boley watchmaker's lathe to pneumatic automated operation. The brass rod was fed through the headstock into the collet chuck by a "fixed clamp - sliding clamp" mechanism on the same principle as you show here. It fascinated me then... it still fascinates me now! :o) I enjoy your videos, keep them coming.

This is a DAKE Cobra 350AX SAW. It's about 27 years old and still runs great!

Neat your employer (I assume) is OK with you taking video of the equipment.
