Awesome job on the mechanical design; love it! I think I used a third party servo library when I needed to change the servo drive frequency in one of my arduino projects. I remember there being a few. You can also just send raw HIGH/LOW signals with the right timing to control servos from an arduino or any MCU in a pinch 🤷♂You can also use a PWM library or set the data registers for the MCU but that's more of a pain IMO.

You’ll probably get to the final video of that series, but I ended up just using micropython on a D1 mini, it was easy to code, and it does the trick

I thought you were kidding about the market automatic pill dispensers requiring you to split up each pill... and unfortunately learned that is true. Such a good idea. I am sure there are many people who could benefit the time savings something like this could provide
@2mustange2 жыл бұрын
Holy shit there are literally $3k+ machines that require you to pre-load it. WHY

most of those companies are American so I assumed has to do something with the Healthcare system over there yeah I wouldn't be surprised if insurance pays for most of it, but also I'm sure it costs a lot of money to develop and make something with a very very tiny margin of error for it to be medical certified

This is something for tinkerers there are some parts you have to print and design yourself depending on what kind of medication you use and I really don’t recommend you using it if you need it to work 100% of the time

what happens if the electriciyt goes off in a power cut?
@Mellow_labs2 жыл бұрын
You could run it off of an external battery, although it’s not very good at keeping time. so I’d recommend upgrading it with a real time clock module, i’m working on an update i’ll publish it on my GitHub with the code too short to make a whole video about it.

back when I made this video I used to use shapr3D but I've recently converted over to fusion 360, shaper 3D is great but expensive and you can get a free version of Fusion

@@Mellow_labs thanks mate! We are currently making a pill dispenser and we are struggling in making it, we don't know where to start.
@Mellow_labs Жыл бұрын
I would start by figuring out a dispensing mechanism and then move on to detecting the pills going into the container, but like most projects as long as you start you're already doing it right. it took me 10 versions to get to where I think it's working well enough for me, I learned a lot. good luck and let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the interest it’s available for free download on my printables page, but you might want to hold on a little bit longer I’m working on a new version it should be out in September.

@@Mellow_labs Can you post a link to your printables page? Still cannot find it.
I need a version which expands sideways not just up (I have 7 supplements 4 times a day and that’s a very long tower lol) thinking storage doesn’t have to be this big as it’ll be refilled weekly (need to hold 7-14 pills only) also can you make a powder version of this for protein and the rest 😂 OH AND ONE FOR LIQUIDS for superfood shots! I’m dead serious. And can I connect it to Siri so she can give me shit till I take them anyway just found your channel so glad I did love you

It‘s very great jobs, I have to take medicine every day. I'm training an AI program to check the pills is correct. But it's still boring to dispensing. so why not make Automatic pill dispensers, then i seach information about it and fond this. Finally I have a suggestion, the container is best as airtight as possible. some pill need In a dry environment. Or can easily recycle the pills to sealed container .
@Mellow_labs2 жыл бұрын
This is great to hear, I’d like to learn more about your Ai project. I don’t know if it’s practical trying to make a 3-D printed airtight enclosure, especially with this design because there are openings at the front and at the back. I am working on a couple of updates as we speak so I might make a video about it soon.
