1) Cryo might actually be better for the flamers, it'll slow the enemies down (Right?), thus forcing any enemy fliers to be under the cold even more, thus dealing more damage. 2) Like cryo, bouncy particles might do fairly well as well, remember when you last made world melter flamers? The bouncy particles were like acid burning through the world. Imagine how awesome it'd be 3) The reason why the flamers can go so far, is they are being drawn in by even MORE gravity, thus making them move faster, thus increasing their range because range is life span determined

With the fact flamethrowers dont destroy resources all you need is a drone with tonnes of storage space and its a free path from resource node to resource node no digging because the world melters will do it before hand

Comet OS what i meant was you could use the world melters he made to clear away the tough terrain and enemies then just bring a ship controlled by you and collect it, but what i meant was if you could you could hook the resource “vacuums” up to a switch then do the rest of the circuits to make it autonomous if you really wanted to so lathrix is the one who controlls the resource ship

@Lathland - I'd love to see you combine all your minion-drones onto a single carrier drone. aka have one big factory complex with (1) = fighter (2) = harvester (3) = collector (4) = bomber (aka fighter + bomb factory) (5) = troop ship (aka fighter + factory with auto-walker drones) and (9) toggles automagic world-melter production and (0) toggles automagic world-bomber production that way you could simply take that one drone onto a planet/mission, activate whichever minion you need, and once you are done melt the world while eating the rest ...

I tried doing that actually, problem comes in that you run out of buttons to control with. Have to make a system that nukes existing drones at the beginning so you can free up your controls if you want more than a couple.

that depends. my idea was as follows pressing (1) to (4) would activate a key (say num 1-4) and keep that one active until the next (1)-(4) is pressed. if (num-1) ANd (W) is pressed then the first craft is moving up if (num-1) AND (S) is pressed then the first craft is moving down if (num-1) AND (A) is pressed the first craft is moving left if (num-1) AND (D) is pressed the first craft is moving right etc that way one hits the (1)-(4) once to switch to that craft then uses regular WASD+mouse+... controls for whichever craft one is currently on. with that I doubt one will run out of keys any time soon ... ^.^ (though the logic sections might be a tad daunting for some)

I used and-gates to filter controls like that and still ran out, haha. It also got way hard to remember which buttons were taken without making a reference sheet. XD I wasn't so familiar with tags at the time though, those freed up so many of my buttons once I configured them since I can have signals without relying on keyboard inputs. I uploaded the multidrone I made at the time with the old system, but I'm halfway through making a new version that incorporates tags. I'll upload that one once I get around to finishing it. :D

Yeah, tags are great. Ever since I've found out about then I stopped using keys for anything other than initial input and used tags for everything else - helps ensure that one can't actually hit a key that's being used for some internal logic but but breaks the drone if pressed manually ^^

Fun Star Wars fact, the empire ALSO glassed over planets. They did this by turbo laser bombardment of the planet’s surface and basically glassing over the planet. This destroyed all life in the planet. The scariest thing is that you could do this with only a bunch of Imperial Star Destroyers

Auto mining drone: 1 of each color storage + fuel +sucker + bomb+ altimeter + some boosters. Position the storage+fuel+jet+altimeter at the very end, attached to two upwards booster. They can be dropped to the surface, selfdestructing after sucking in the ores and then float up to certain distance so you can grab them with magnet and dipping them into collection tray.

Lathrix, an xor gate works how you set up your sumo drone with the other logic gates. The xor gate works with if you don't give any input, it won't give an output, but if you give one input, it gives an output, but if you provide two inputs, it doesn't give an output.

TAG binding is awesome basically extended key binds that don't consume all your keys pros not limited by number of keys no accidental pressing if fat fingering the same action can have a TAG and a key bound and it works as a built in OR gate a list of used tags is stored so you can see what you have defined (these are removed if nothing is using the defined tag) cons not bound to keys if the logic gate that translates gets destroyed that action is dead TAGs are remembered across all drones so what you bound on one drone will fill up the list for future drones

the transmitter can be good, look at the signal symbol for each soler system and it will do things like slowing you down to giving you a mega laser. Also, there is a mega sumo arena at the bottom of the map with a torment mode.

Try using magnets as defense, they can deflect enemy bots/turrets projectiles. Can also be used to mess with your own kinetic projectiles. You can also add an extension with a single shield and a magnet, so all the bullets are attracted towards the shield

For curiosity's sake, here's a way to do the sensor thing you're trying to do @ 5:00. The sensors and thrusters stay the same. A single XOR gate outputs a signal if one but not both sensors are true. One AND gate for each side, which outputs true if the XOR gate is true AND the corresponding sensor is true.

I have an idea! What if, on the backs of the bombs, you put boosters. Fuel and all, TNT and all, detector and all. But, you have a detecting thing that will automatically seek out enemies! Then, every missile will try to find every single enemy. If you added a drill in the front and turned the detector thing to only explode when it sees enemies, it'll go through the planet to kill enemies. Or, when you click on an enemy coming at you, the missiles all try to go there. It'd be cool to see your missiles willing to go through the planet itself to come save you lol.

What if you have the orbital drones thrust downwards just before releasing the bombs, and then bob back up while they reload? That way they'll get all the benefits of accelerating downwards, but without any of the problems inherent in making the bombs more complex? As for the heater and cooler; the heating and cooling only cancels out in their area of effect; so that naturally suggests you should put a heater way out front, and then have a cooler in the back keeping the heater from overheating. Things behind you will freeze, things in front of you will burn, and your drone itself stays in the Goldilocks zone between the two. Re: @26:20 the reason you thought they needed to be lower, was because you didn't turn on gravity when testing them initially ;)

You can use magnets on the bomb dropper to repulse the bombs towards the ground faster. And adding just a few more sensors (maybe even at the expense of some TNT) so they detonate regardless of their orientation. P.S i know it's not your stile and or objective currently, but would you consider building an absolutely stupidly gigantic 2 in one harvester-destroyer-bomber... drone as i have to say i absolutely loved watching you design such builds in from the depths, currently in Airships:CtS and so on.

Pure mass and brute force works in 9 out of 10 cases in arena. People are trying to be smart, but the interactive drones don't really work. Also: I've once won usnig just the drone core in a fight with a "smart" drone, that dodges everything.

If you want to be able to see the whole planet then you can put a switch to activate a camera for every planet melters at the same time, you would then be able to see the whole planet, IDK this is just a theory but I think it will work you can try off camera and if it works then if you make a new planet destroyer you can use this for a thumbnail like you wanted to do.
