You should give They are Billions another go since some new stuff got added. Also I know you said you didn't want to do another From the Depths video any time soon due to how much time the campaigns take but you could give adventure mode another try since I'm sure a lot of the problems have been fixed since you first tried it and shouldn't take as much of a time commitment compared to a regular campaign.

Made my first drones inspired by yours - relatively normal drones made by a stationary factory ship. One of the first things I ended up giving them was a buttload of dynamite around the central sensor and camera, to make sure that I could end them anytime something stupid happened to them. As a bonus, they're great for killing hammerheads that suicidally attack them.

in the demo, rocket based shotguns were AMAZING. on one game I got a plasma rocket shotgun with double particles and cluster bullets, firing 10 rockets at a time which would explode with 5 more bullets on impact or the end of the lifetime.

They should add a no mining weopon upgrade so you can use explosive guns on a collector drone without wasting resource

Gravity + Sticky + Lifetime 2 makes it so that if a single bit of the flamer lands on top of the enemy, they pretty much instantly get frozen... which is neat!

The rocket lauchers are good. Use them instead of shotguns. Also, hammmerheads glitch out when grenades are shot at them.

Lathrix, if you don’t like the transmitter effect (such as reduced thrust), you can destroy the transmitter on the planet to remove the effect, _but only for that run_

I've made a small missile bomber drone hive ship that deploys tiny drones packed with explosives one at a time, (or all 3 but they're hard to control) which when the hammer head charges and destroys the explosives destroy it instantly :)

here is en idea for a resources collector: make your main craft like a giant container with structure parts make a smaller ship that detaches from the main one have 3 printers each printing a resources tank with a syphon and add a magnet to the small ship and print tanks for each resources. so you can print tanks and have them filled with all the resources without haveing to go back and store all of them in the storage section of the main ship. doesnt that sounds just amazing.

I... Wow that would be complex... I mean the respawner is more effeciant. Also if you don't decouple the printers after they print you can print charged supercapaciters to keep your drone charged forever. And ever have to worry about energy!

Oddly, they do! Originally I was going to use them just for the fun of it and to practice with the logic gates but honestly the extra reach and the ability to use them as a speed boost by aiming the mouse forwards has been far more useful than I would have thought with the collectors quite limited range.
