If you go the modded route, there is a mod called Storage Controllers that can make real sorting a thing.

The reason that one didn't work is you're thinking too modern, too progressive for Vintage Story. It's going to refuse a three-way every time. Don't have a middle, just the two side chutes going to two more chutes, and so on. The whole system works up until it gets split three ways. You can fix this by getting rid of one column, or adding one.

I've been continuing the experimentation. Trying to get fancy with the chutes 😂 they can be finicky at times lol.

man those black line artifacts... I wonder if that is a graphics card setting or issue with the driver

Oh really? I need to look into it then. It's just something I've accepted to live with 😅 but if theres a way to fix it then i need to try haha.

@@PapaCheddar It looks like something anti aliasing could help with, but it's probably something that only shows up in super flat worlds.

If is in the flat worlds only, atleast only noticable on them. I went and changed all the anti alias settings to no avail.

I fixed it! Disabling Anisotropic Filtering and setting anti-aliasing to "application settings" did the trick. (AMD GPU) Thank you for taking the time to bring this up to me, I was just living with it and would not have tried to fix the issue for lord knows how long if ever. I appreciate you greatly for this, and for the wonderful game y'all make. Thanks again!

Oh nice! I've been able to get a semi item sorter lol. Not individualising every item, just by weights basically so far. I'll have to search for the video you speak of.

Hmmm very interesting, it would be nice to have a way to separate, i found out today that you can separate by weight with water streams but so far it only separates heavy and light so only two different types sadly

Yes, but if course depending on what you're trying to accomplish. I've continued testing of all this and found better ways already 😂 kinda sorta.

This video was done on vanilla. Though many updates have happened since this was released, can't say what's what anymore unfortunately.
