Just got my Supra with the t56 magnum swap returned yesterday and it’s a whole lot more fun driving it now. I trip up at 5th gear a lot because I’m afraid of hitting R. I guess I’ll just have to getting using to banging the gears again

How did u do the lockout? I no longer recommend cutting the spring but instead wire the solenoid up to a switch or use the ebrake light switch to keep it stealthy/invisible

Grannas Racing a shop did it for me in houston, he said something about the spring, but he didn’t cut it. It’s all good I had more practice yesterday and I’m missing 5th less abs less. Great swap kit bro!

Okay, so I bought a 2JZGTE engine a few months ago to swap into my 88' Mk3 Supra. Will a T56 transmission linked to a 2JZ, fit into a Mk3 chassis??

Is it cheaper to gte and 6 speed swap from the automatic then just buying the gte? I was planning on doing it but I'd like to hear somebody else's opinions yours especially

Generally, yes it is, as the V160 cars pull a premium

FYI the GTE is not strictly 6 speed. There are automatic turbo Supras too. GE’s come in auto and 5 speed. But to your question typically buying a turbo auto and swapping is the best bet (currently)as all Supras but most of all 6 speeds are premium now

Tr6060 and t56 magnum are nearly identical. That's what differentiates the magnum from the plain t56
