I assume you check transmission fluid level with car idling like older cars? This is my first car from this century.

Hi, why did you change the auto transmission fluid. Were there vibration issues or just regular maintenance?

I drain 3 quarts and fill 3 every oil change.

John Tron... Don't wait for vibration problem do it because the trans fluid loses its elasticity and detergents over time... You can do a regular drain and refill to clean fluid out or take it to dealer and get flushed out also change the transmission filter ASAP !!!

@@hajileserpud9539 honda fit does not have transmission filter and the dealer does not do "flushed" they only change what is in the system leaving behind about 1/3 of old fluid.

@@traceler honda fit has trans filter on inside of engine compartment, driver side of car behind engine air filter box, take air box out and look towards back of engine... I have 2011 Fit and I changed filter at 106,000 miles on odometer

My 2012 Fit Sport has 120,000 miles on it. I've heard that it best to NOT flush and refill it since it may lead to slippage. Mine shifts beautifully, so I'm hesitant. What do you recommend? Thanks, I subscribed.

Flush is different than drain and fill. Replacing some old fluid with fresh fluid shouldn’t be a problem.

When you drain the second time, do you put fresh cvt fluid in or reuse the one put in before??

Made it look so easy cracking that drain plug loose, but mine is stuck in there bad! I've tried wd40 and a breaker bar but I've put so much force on it that I'm afraid any more that I might break the bolt. I'm gonna try my impact gun next but I need an adapter for 1/2" to 3/8"

Make sure lefty loosey, righty tighty. I was watching my neighbor do this while he was talking away and I finally noticed he was tightening instead of loosening. Got confused with the torque wrench. Was bangaway with a hammer and pushing with his foot. Was actually funny, much later of course.

Should be between the marks. Hot just means it should be checked hot for proper reading.

@@leoRR22 Never ever put anything but OEM Honda transmission fluid in a Honda transmission.

You can't get it all out by draining, because a bunch is still trapped in there. Doing it twice gets the fluid nice and fresh, and not diluted more than optimum.
