Nonsense! There is nothing automatic on the Rega Planar. You have to manually bring the arm back at the end of play...

be good IF the list was actually automatic T'tables - meaning push a button the arm moves & lowers the needle to disc. at end, raises and shuts off. I have two Thorens that are full automatic - TD 240 2 and TD 103 ( very very similar .... both are kinda expensive but great quality. except , and it is BIG - the tiny wires plugging into back of cartridge ( very common , bad design ) the actual plugs and the tiny wires are both super fragile, no durability, zero. and when one breaks, the T'table value becomes approx. two cents. seems almost impossible to put new wires thru the tonearm. some arms use easily replaceable 2inch wires for this critical aspect, design by SME I think.

Today’s Denons are pieces of shit when compared with the classic DP-47F, which might be the greatest automatic turntable ever produced. Peace.
