Brilliant. Well explained Marc. A synth that just sits there and talks to you!!! Who needs a partner when youve got a microfreak! Awesome. I am getting one.

I have to thank you for these videos - I have a new microfreak and thought I knew all about it but your series has proved me wrong. Top quality stuff.

The freak jumps between the sublime to the ridiculous with ease. A handy trick is assigning lfo speed to pressure.

I was wondering if you could do this! Lit haha

Ordered it on the weekend, awaiting delivery now! Amazing how much they've packed into it.

Dear God, this thing really is a mutiny isn't it! I just can't get over how customisable it is. And at this price point too.

Got one after watching your tutorials. I’ve been mightily impressed with such flexibility and sounds in such a small package. It’s a great synth. I also notice it accepts pitch bend from my Kronos midi out without any matrix shenanigans- which makes it great for old school solos. Thanks Marc.

STILL don’t get the ‘assign’ thing- but I didn’t get the matrix at all the first time I owned one of these, so I suppose it’s an improvement. Thanks for trying anyway…

Marc, I've been totally digging these Microfreak sessions. I did have a request for a future series. I was wondering if at some stage you could do a breakdown of the Korg Volca (Semi)Modularfor us? It looks like a genuinely interesting little box and another lower-cost offering that is accessible to the average punter (not to mention, quite educational for people wanting to get into the whole modular thing without having to destroy their bank balances LOL).

Button assign, Coraline? Just sew that LFO on my eyes.

Have learnt TONS about synths thanks to your excellent videos! The sounds are from the Mutable instruments Plaits module. Are you thinking of covering any of their modules in a video series? It would be cool to see you explore them.

Beam these sounds to outer space! 🤪 Endless possibilities...

What if an alien race considers pitch modulation a declaration of war, though? Just a thought :)) How did the human race end? Oh it was just Marc beaming his crazy sounds into space...

What happens if you assign the LFO to modify itself (for example the rate)? :D

I think that might tear a hole in reality, but I’ll try it. :D

Modulating LFO shape was possible on the Sub37, I think.
