Those Remote Connectors can actually be used to input and output.. so all you need is 3 tanks( 1 of each colour) and then can use the minecarts using the remote connecters. (No need to leave room for cart tracks beside the tanks) and no need for tanks on Combiners. makes a factory look really really nice. and also allows you to build a small compact factory for each individual combiner recipe. complete with straight through mine cart loops. especially useful if you use the mine carts at level 2 coming in and out of the factory, saves floor space, besides the ramp size. I've been watching and loving the game play, don't know if you worked it out yet but holding right shift lets you zoom/scroll faster ;)

I love these kind of games, tho I miss the blueprint option like we heav in factorio. Also I missed a tutorial at the very start, I found out everything by myself but it would be much easier to have a small tutorial to start things of when you first play this game

How do you figure the price went up when there was no price announced?

@@KatherineOfSky on the first day of early release It was originally priced @ $19.99 . Don't get me wrong I do really like the game, but do wish it were a bit more complete. I am experiencing all of my Droids disappearing and ruining the economy, frustrating, not sure what I am doing wrong.

Tried this game, am already done with this game. Someone said it perfectly on a steam review that this is more of a puzzle game rather than a factory game. You spend more time trying to place things the way the game wants you to rather than actually building things up. Why is placement of in/exit roads restricted? why is research restricted. It makes absolutely no sense. I have to rebuild factories just because I need to add one more track or something for efficiency sake, I incorrectly thought due to the title of this video that they have a blueprint option but they.. don't, not as far as I could see. If ever a game could use an ' early access ' tag it would be this as this could use a lot of work before they call it the final product.

Indeed it is a puzzle game. Except for the factory part (I HATE having to rebuild setups that work perfectly well.....) ... the rest of what you said is game mechanics. It's part of the ruleset of the game and the challenge it provides. There is no sense in meowing about it, it's like complaining about the rules of chess. Either you enjoy the game or you don't.

@@KatherineOfSky Yep indeed, and i'm just expressing my frustration that I ..don't ..enjoy it. What? I can only comment if i'm positive about the game? If you want the challenge from the game to be the placement of everything and the lack of quality of life mechanics.. then we indeed have very different opinions on what a building game should be.

@@Tjezee I never said anything like that. You are inventing things. As you can see on all my videos, people have wildly varying opinions, both positive and negative. My point is: you seem to want to change core game mechanics to make it like other building games. That isn't what this game is about.

@@KatherineOfSky You tell me to stop meowing about it?! That kinda looks like you don't want to see negative things about the game. That is not inventing things, you come across as I should stop whining. Hence my response that I feel I should be able to express myself, positive or negatively. Yes, I do want core mechanics to change, yes, I look at other games and miss quality of life things in this game that others have. ( there is a reason factorio added blueprints for example ) But isn't that what competition is all about? You copy the things that people like; you listen to the community how to alter some mechanics or add some more. That is what makes a game great. So why should I accept the fact that this game lacks in it's quality of life mechanics? The game now revolves; ( for me ) around fighting the puzzle to make everything work, not about creating the best factory and fighting for efficiency as I believe the game should be about. In regards to being a copy of what other games should be. I'm not saying it should be factorio, not at all, it's why I wanted to try this game, it introduced fresh, new mechanics with an interesting setting. Yet as mentioned; I find it extremely difficult to enjoy it when it's just not easy to actually build up and have the best factory you can have whilst having to fight the puzzle that is, for example, placement.

Tjezee telling someone that there's no point complaining about it is not the same thing as telling them not to complain about it. You appear to be looking for opportunities to take offense, which is incredibly tiresome. If you want your comments to actually have any impact, go post in the steam forums or on the game's subReddit. It's not KoS's job to make you feel like your opinions are important.

I finished the Crater, now on 4th world, shoreline. There are new combinations, megafuel that has a weight of 15. I don't know if they came in for finishing completely the first three, or it is new dlc. Added on 1/1/20.

One thing I experimented with was staggering and nesting the road loading zones in order to maximize usable terrain and make loading distances that much shorter. Also I found out that some terrain allows the roads entrances to wrap around. As long as they are within proximity of another entrance (Like the research labs) the game considers it a legal placement.

now that you know all this, it would be cool to make one that is most efficient. it could be done with gold, coal, iron, oil, and farm in a central depot. plugged to a few research centers. using only one factory, and 3 of each transport. trucks, trains, and rockets. it looks way better without the spaghetti cart rails. good show!!!

With the instant transfer via silo's why not make a long narrow factory with a pair's of those colour coded transfer gates at each end attached to silos rather than 10 plus between? is there a limit on length of factory buildings? if so small mine cart transfers between 2 such long buildings may resolve it. Just a thought, thanks for the video take care god bless.

Hi, soo for the reusable crate setup, you still need a crate maker for putting them on the truck? Soo I don't get this build setup. For example :iron ore is getting in, refiner gets it to iron and the carts take it away at the end, but where do they take it? Cuz it still needs to go in crates?

It depends on what level of transport you have. Trains will take ore from containers. Trucks will take crates. You can use the minecart to take it from a far-off factory closer to your roads, then crate it there.

@MM's - Doesn't seem to pricey to me 'if' they put out a few updates for free, but I was already sold on KOS's first few videos anyway. I can see exactly what to expect and for me its a no brainer. In the past hour the steam reviews have changed to 'Mixed' I think it will continue to improve. :)
