My brother used to do shifter kart racing irl, and when i was scrolling through the available tracks i’ve found Ortona, our home track where my brother used to training almost every weekend …i must say that i find it extremely close to the real life counterpart, almost identical! I called my brother to do few laps to try it in vr and he was speechless about the fidelity….he was in love the kart physics too! After 3-4 laps he was doing the lap Times he was doing in real life, and he said: Let me leave or i’m going to buy a kart again tomorrow! Ehehe So yeahahha amazing job from Reiza!

I get your point but as happens in every sim, there are cars better done than others. For my taste, the Gineta GT3, all Porsches, the V8s, GT4s for example, they drive and feel incredibily good and I would say at least as well as the best sims you mention. The grip and the track evolution with climate changes is super good. The FF is definetilly a top tier. They have the potential.

Automobilista 2 is a no brain buy! If you like sims, you MUST own a copy. Even the basic one with no DLC is enough. And often you can get it for less than 10 euros. It is by far the most immersive SIM in the market. You really feel to be there. For me it is no doubt the best sim in this. That doesn't mean that it is the most accurate simulator talking about physics. But it is accurate enough to really enjoy the driving and have a TON of fun. For example I don't like Open Wheels (except the one you are driving here, and in AC they are just oustanding). Automobilista 2 made me like them. Driving V10 is an absolute blast. Then the DLCs are a bit expensive, but : the basic game has a TON of content. And if you have friends to play online with, you can share the cost of DLC with them if you want (or each one can buy one for example). That is because you don't need to own DLCs to join a lobby with DLCs. In few words, it is a great game. Come on.

A couple of hours ago I had some free time and I tried AMS2 after a long pause. I used their recommended settings for FFB. I raced against an AI in Mini Cooper at Interlagos. It was a smooth experience. I had a good feeling what a car was doing, it was predictable, and had a really good time. For the last 30min I tried GT3 (m6) and F-Usa3 cars at Spa. I still feel there is "something" strange. For GT3 cars, it's so different from ACC that I will never adapt. Too much ACC hours are ingrained in my brain. But F-USA3 cars? I don't know what it is, but I just didn't enjoy the driving. Mini Coopers were so fun, had a feeling of "weight" and inertia, could react to FFB. Maybe my expectations of how open wheeler cars "should" feel is so wrong, but when watching real life open wheelers, I don't see them drifting as a default way of driving. At least I had this kind of feeling. So all in all, AMS2 is a must have sim. You can find cars you'll enjoy. FFB is good. Aris said the best: FFB is like a language and with every sim, you have to learn it. If you keep fiddling with the settings, you'll never learn. I wish Reiza would from the launch continue polishing the physics, FFB, "small bugs everywhere",... but they instead pumped out multiple DLCs, while core elements were so fscked up that it affected the mindset of a lot simracers. I think most view AMS2 as a "curiosity" to try occasionally and then go back to "main" sim. It had a huge potential, but now I don't know if it could get the playerbase it needs to turn this mindset around.

@JBVXR2 жыл бұрын
@@levivandijk7139 Yea I can understand why that might be confusing. Multithreading in games is a slightly more recent thing, it came about as CPUs started hitting a single threaded ceiling and they started putting more cores (threading capacity) into chips. But older games don't make use of the extra cores. Though CPU clockspeed has also improved too somewhat recently. Saying that, AMS2 also uses tricks to reduce CPU load too (the A.i don't use as complicated a physics simulation as the player).

AMS2 trail braking is still uniquely broken (in 16 years of driving sims). You can literally jump off the brakes whilst turning and it still won't snap oversteer regardless of BB or diff settings etc. The tyres are so forgiving, you can also drive around most of the track on full throttle with 45 degrees countersteer. On top of that, the content release rate is a very slow trickle. Reiza brag about their historic content, but many of the most historic tracks don't have historic versions (Watkins Glen, VIR, Road America, Daytona, Bathurst, Monaco/Azure, etc.). The sim as a whole would improve tremendously with the addition of just a few licenses, or simply making more content with the licenses that they have. I bought ps5 and grant turismo dd pro bundle just for grant turismo. Enjoyed it for two months and came back to automobilista. Graphics in gt7?amazing, but not better than in automobilista.. (rain in gt7? Wtf...) ffb? Good, but automobilista loosing traction?my hands do counterster automatically, cause game told me. Imo both games are great, but automobilista is on completely other lvl.

@@louiejenkins6369 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thats what happens when ur clueless and havent played the game but society told u hating is cool, n ur ego tells u ur too good for it because previous gt games were not sims, but in reality ur too poor to afford a ps5 and find out for urself. The old gt games before gt sport had simcade physics gt sport is where it became a sim and with gt7 its a good level sim with good physics, u can search it up n see some reviews from reputable sources, they all say gt7 is now a sim and has better physics and ffb then automobollista and is at the level of raceroom.

@@Sideways_Singh 🤣🤣 I've played the game on ps5 for hours and hours using my fanatec podium. I like to play console and PC games depending on what I feel ike playing. Deffo not hating, just speaking freely on how I feel about the game. IMO it's not a simulator It's a game that is quite clearly aimed at the control pad scene which is sonys main client base. If you enjoy it that's all that matters. Maybe a little bit harsh assuming someone is poor. Enjoy the grinding for the three new cars my friend

When it comes to specific cars, the only people who can provide perspective on realism is those who have driven both cars at pace, real and sim. EVERYONE else is just guessing. In terms of general realism of driving we all have a view but those who have never raced/tracked or even driven a car can be pretty much discounted and those that have only driven 'some cars' also have little measure by which to compare. Doesn't mean they can't have an opinion of course, but the most vociferous in this debate tend to be those with the least experience I feel.

I think the issue is some people have very pore intuition as to how things work and other people don't. If you are someone that can learn sports and skills very quickly then you are probably going to be able to tell generally how realistic x sim is regardless of if it's a driving sim pool sim flight sim. I had never been in a race car or a real plane yet it was super obvious which sims are generally closer to reality (largely due to sims having massive issues with tire models) and when I did those things in real life it was what I expected , well reality was even more forgiving and progressive than what I expected lol sims made me think reality was less forgiving / harder than it is. Still haven't flown a real helicopter but it's really clear which sims or which specific simulated helicopters are closest to reality and I'd bet the real helicopters are again much more forgiving than sim copters but also way more nuanced and progressive. Basically I think some people have a much more keen intuition for these things than others for whatever reasons. But yah if you could filter out people that havnt gone out on a track in a resnably fast car and slid a bit , filter out people that haven't set lap times within x time of pace on 4 different physics engines and people that have only used one bit of equipment then you would probably get better conversations on the issue of what is generally more or less realistic and why or which components can cause x and y perception. The people I see that argue the most for singular sims as in x sim is the most realistic or is perfectly fine , tend to be people that mostly just play that one sim and happen to be good at that one sim.
