Believe it or not important video.. had a bad connector wire throw a code on my coil.. although the engine ran it was similar to a drunken donkey.. which could get your rear-ended.. a new connector at the dealer is 50 bucks.. you actually prevent us from being clowns and buying from them

Hey klown, Good tip on the Lisle tool. You're right about the special crimpers and they are expensive. We have some at work which runs about $300 per crimper and there's a special crimper for each type of terminals out there. At home, I just solder them in as you've mentioned. Good video.

Hey i have a oxygen sensor signal wire on my third Gen Camaro that was cut while driving do you recommend just repinning it instead of crimping a new connector back on to it
@klowny1969

Sorry I'm a bit confused, if it's cut how would you repin it? You want to repin it at a shorter length? Just use a weatherproof connector..don't forget to subscribe

O ok jus been getting an intermittent stalling after crimping new connector on the O2 signal wire I think the crimp probably isn't solid enough and needs to be recrimped since the O2 signal doesn't have much room for error

Unfolding those crimps holding the wire to the metal insert seems to be impossible. That's with a good hard poker. I'm sure you can imagine why I ended up watching a video like this in the first place.

Very informative vid just wish it was a little clearer. Thanks for showing that tool. That's just one of those things that are not ever advertised you know? I just recently obtained another set of aftermarket lights for my Z, and one of the connectors had come off. I utilized your video to get the pins out, reclamped the wire inside the connector, snapped em back in place and voila'..... Thanks again for all the tips....the paperclip tip helped me out....got to work, fixed it, watched the rest of the vid, then realized I also had a set of the jewelers screwdrivers hahahahahaha....good vid...Thanks again!!...

One question I am trying to get answered, in regards to "ALTERNATOR REPAIR LEAD HARNESS PIGTAIL PLUG FOR GM ALTERNATORS", where do the wires plug into on the motor? I just replace my alternator and my plug only has one pin, I was sure it was supposed to have at least 4 for a 96 chevy tahoe. So I want to know how to rewire the pigtail.

Great video. I'm to to this, I have an older Toyota Previa, I found a corroded connector. Once I get the wire out, can I simply re-sue the pin at the end of the wire without any adjustment, or do I need to widen/close the pin? I think I heard in the video you have to adjust the pin, I'm just not sure, and wanna do this right the first time. Cheers!

You failed to use the word barb. You failed to reset by prying out what you bent in so that it will latch or lock in place upon reinsertion. This will lead to failures because it will be pushed out when connecting the whole connector back together. I have fixed way too many failed barbs because of folks like you that don't get it. Maybe you do because you speak of tabs but you are not clear about the BARB. That is the most important part of messing with this. Please abandon this and draw a picture if a BARB. The thing on a fish hook that holds it in the fishes mouth. You bend it in from the front. Then you must reshape it to LOCK back in place. My first and last time I'll watch your stuff. Learn the proper words. Explain in detail. These folks don't know. They come here to find out and you are not derail oriented at all or can't explain it. There are now me tons of shakey connections because of this . there is even the safety issue of stabbing your own hand unless extreme caution and gloves are used. It's usually much harder requiring a cushion grip tool. Lousy my opinion

While pulling out the bent tab ("barb") is an important part of re-pinning, your tone is so negative that it is irritating... I am here a year later and you still do not have any videos made, so make some before you harshly criticize others... They are maybe not perfect, but people made an effort to make them, at least... Your comment could inform people about your important barb, but it turned out as just a rude comment, IMHO...
