Its weird at first when you say, you have clients you have never met. I have a couple that leave their keys in a safe space for me and i put them back in that space when im done. I send everything via email and they pay through shop management email that includes a link to pay through a secure portal backed by paypal. Having a good shop management program with software in place, is an absolute must.

Gotta make sure you've got a solid credit card authorization form IF you can't afford to lose the chargeback. We've been using docusign, the client signs the authorization from, uploads a photo of their ID and the card with all but the ne and last 4 blocked. They initial our TOS, the invoice total and sign at the bottom of the invoice. If it's a down-payment, they initial any testing with a note of additional estimates will result. Docusign verifies the telephone number through 2fa, and we have a copy of their ID. Scammers and chargeback pros? They won't fill it out. They'll raise Cain. We offer for them to come in at that point. You can always tell who they are too. They start saying at the time of arrival "you have my authorization to fix everything, I don't need an estimate!"
