How To Parallel Park In 1 Minute Or Less!

Parallel Parking can be intimidating for most drivers, even well seasoned drivers. But in this video I share my parallel parking tips I learned on my families go-kart track so you don't have to stress it!
Step 1: Find a parking space which is 1.5x the size of your car.
Step 2: Single to the side which you will be parking on.
Step 3: Pull beside the other vehicle but stay half-a-cars-length away from the side.
Step 4: Align your rear bumper to the other vehicles rear bumper.
Step 5: Turn your wheel all the way to the right (or to the side you'll be parking on), and reverse until your front middle hood is pointing to the 10o'clock position.
Step 6: Straighten wheel.
Step 7: Reverse about one to two feet, or until your right side window door pillar is inline with the other vehicles rear left bumper light.
Step 8: Reverse slowly, and unwind the wheel in the other direction until you are parallel to the curb.
Step 9: Pull forward slowly, and leave 3-4 feet in front of your bumper.
Step 10: Congratulations you have mastered the parallel park.

Hit the curb and you failed as per to instructor. I have seen lot of video and used more Instructor, each one has different theory! i have passed test 5 years ago with prallel prking showing like this one, now instructor telling me i am wrong, so one turn right, reverse , strengthen wheel , move side ways till Parked car brake light, turn wheel to the full left while moving a car, back into curb , once car is straight, strighten the wheel and parked . Now my 1st test was instructor led me to turn wheel full, then move the car while checking blind spot, so many variation and very sometimes confusing one, This video similar I have watched “Smart driver “ he usually turn full right, reverse, 45 0 angle , strighten wheel 1.5 turn reverse , till mirror cover the other parked car light, then full turn to left to back in to curb. Please clarify any of it work properly, when I tried 2nd method either I go far from carb, or too close to curb. Any easiest way to parallel.?

Unwind your wheel all the way to the left and continue backing into the spot 7. Straighten out vehicle and try leave about 3 feet in the front and back for courtesy

The 10 o'clock really helped me master it. Everyone else kept talking about 30 0r 45 degree angles and that always confused me. I also realized I over thought everything and didn't rely on my intuition and how to felt. Viewing it scientifically didn't help me and breaking it down to every last step got me confused. This video was probably the most helpful.

This video was extremely helpful. I recently obtained my Drivers License in NYC at the end of August and passed on my first try! This video helped me a lot with the parallel parking bit, especially the 10 o'clock reference and 1ft of reversing once you're in that 10 o'clock position. I also positioned my right side mirror (I was asked to parallel park on a oneway street but on the right side) to be a little lower than usual so I could see the curb when backing up. If you can no longer see the edge of the curb in your mirror then you've backed up way too far. Side mirrors are our friends and they are highly vital for parallel parking! beautiful instructions used them today ... I might just add : initial distance between the two vehicles before backing up should be 2-3 ft ...and 10 o'clock position, or 45 degrees , which be clearer to some people.

When you say “the right window pillar”, are you talking about the pillar in between the windshield and front passenger window? Or is it the pillar between the passenger and right rear passenger window?
