I absolutely love that body style! As a side note, it's nice to see that you actually know how to cold start a car by not cranking it forever! Some guys just like to keep cranking it till it starts or the battery dies. 👍

I almost bought a 81 diesel delta coupe, nowhere near as cool as that Rivi, but that thing ran damn good on a cold start in Feb... I ran up to Detroit and bought a '12 Genesis 4.6 instead.. pretty car tho and will fishtail from a dig so I'm happy..

it's not fuel injected you don't have to turn it off you're not priming the fuel pump if it doesn't start or keeps cranking to just keep cranking it there's no need to turn the ignition off and on it does absolutely nothing at all on a non fuel injected engine
@AutoMotoCha9L6 жыл бұрын
I just don't want to burn my starter.
@truckerkevthepaidtourist6 жыл бұрын
@@AutoMotoCha9L you won't burn your starter basically is your cranking away if it doesn't start on the first try you just let go to the key instead of turning it off and then turning it on again it does absolutely nothing at all on old cars all you do is Twist the key if it cranks and doesn't start you just twist it again the only thing you don't have to do is turn it completely off and turn it completely on again it's not like fuel injection it doesn't engage the starter it doesn't do nothing.. I'm not talking about just cranking the hell out of it till it starts burning up the starter what I mean is when you go on those kind of cars we give the key of twist and it cranks away and it doesn't start you don't have to turn it all the way to off and return the key on again in the ignition you just leave it where it is Crank It Again. to go out to it now and turned it over all you have to do is after you give it a crank and if it doesn't start on the first try just like go to the key and then crank it again that's all you have to do instead of turning it all the way to off and then on again that's what I meant. it's pretty much everything that you did without simply turning the key all the way to off and turning it on again that's the only thing you don't have to do so like when it didn't start on the first try like most Buick usually don't instead of taking it twisted the key all the way to off and returning it out again just leave it where it is grab a hold the key and crank her up again

It is good to turn off completely... The ignition circuitry works better when disconnected and connected again... I do it, and the engine starts much easier (it is a carbureted engine)
@truckerkevthepaidtourist6 жыл бұрын
@@cesaraugustomari3676 lol. Who the hell told you that go ask him mechanic has been working on cars for 40 plus years or is been driving prior to 1990.. it does nothing at all on an American car maybe on your foreign cars it does an American car it does absolutely nothing at all watch people cold start cars what do they do they turn the key if it doesn't start they don't turn it to off you just turn the key again though the God damn thing starts leaving it right where it is in the Run position when I started driving for 2 years ago that's how we did it that's how everybody does it. especially those who drove when they were brand new and all the cars until they became fuel injected around 1986!! it doesn't make it start any quicker at all on a General Motors Ford or a goddamn Chrysler. maybe I'll have some of my friends come on that have been mechanic for over 40 years and pretty much let you know exactly what it does nothing at all it doesn't reset a circuitry it doesn't do a damn thing on a 1970s automobile
