My 5 year old decided to unbuckle herself yesterday on the highway. So, I showed her this. Hopefully it’ll make her think. Even if it doesn’t I’m making sure she can’t unbuckle herself again!!!

I was in a car crash in 2017 at only 7 my whole family was injured my mother injured her eye and her hip and it caused 3 tears in her hip my dad broke his nose and my brother who was only 10 broke his ribs my sister had minor cuts and I was the most injured I now have a fluid filled cyst in my spinal cord in t2 and t4 I am now disabled and have syringomyelia I’m using my sisters account to type this. Car crashes are so much more dangerous than people think it’s so important for car safety to be taught to kids please teach her to be safe in a car is she also in a car seat? The car seat saved my life.

A few years ago, a guy ran off the road and hit a driveway culvert. His 3 yr old son was in the back seat, with just a lap belt on. He can no longer walk.

@@hapticocean7 I know the people. Tho' not personally. Relatives of relatives. I drove by, right after it happened. The little boy is now in a wheelchair. He is probably about 7-8, now.

I was not prepared for 0:24. It looks too realistic and made me sad. But I give a thumbs up because this sort of reaction is necessary.

Physics 101. An object in motion tends to stay in motion, and an object at rest tends to stay at rest, unless acted upon by an outside force. Car suddenly stops, unbelted child continues forward.

So is backless boosters better than high back ones I take it! And of course Belted in when on booster! Thanks for this video as we had a high-back one for the grandparents car for my son but now he's 9 so don't need it now thankfully 👍 but with this video I can show my friends and people I know with young kids about safety of seats and belts even if it's a quick car run and you Don't want the kids moaning coz they don't want belted in so you leave it 😥 Not Me I've not once done that with my son but I know alot did & Would so this video will help just like other crash test ads to help people be more aware of it as it does go away from time to time & people forget & just want Easy quick life's to & from places in car with kids!! GOOD JOB 👍 Love From Scotland Glasgow Xxx

Rear facing car seats are the safest. Look into those first and then spread the word. 5x safer than forward facing
@jajangmyeon5162 ай бұрын
A child is supposed to be in a high back booster till they are either 135cm tall or 12 years old but you can get high back boosters that go to 150cm high back boosters protect the spine and also have side impact protection..this video is shocking but also shocking because it's old as the hills and the high back booster in this video is not fit for purpose it's got no rigidity.. my daughter is 10 and she's still in a hbb britax isofix 150cm my youngest is 2 and is in a rear facing only seat besafe stretch and will be in her rear facing till she's 125cm or 36kg which ever one she gets to first which will be about 7 ... Rear facing is 5x safer but forward facing after the age of 6 in a high back booster is safer then a backless booster they do sell them still but they were actually made illegal to buy for a child below the weight of 22kg some companies like to flaunt the rules here and sell them to unsuspecting victims Halfords being one of the worst ..

What about a child in the front seat in a frontfacing carseat. Are there crash videos for that? Curious because my ex is putting our 5 year old daughter in the front, in a front facing carseat, with the airbag disabled mind you, but I'd still be interested to see these sorts of demonstrations for a scenario like that. I worry about her in the front.

@@kellipoirrier5827what brand is that. I am looking for a booster seat for my 5 year old daughter
@KEL3642 ай бұрын
No. They are simply boosting the child so the adult seatbelt fits them correctly. It is why a child needs to be at minimum 40lb and 5-7 (usually not mature enough until 6-7) and able to sit perfectly whole ride, every ride even when asleep, no slouching or leaning, for them to be safe.
