this is so useful. I have had massive mouse damage to the mower, and still no guide wire responses so suspect it is in the base station. Now I know where to go

Thank you for the information. I have an old 230 ACX with a glued together base plate. Pulled it apart today and gonna have a go at fixing a corroded section of the antenna. The old ones use different antennas so I'm guessing if I'm going to replace the plate I will also need the board to go with it.

If I have a 300 series in my backyard and a 400 series in the front yard can I switch the automowers or do I have to also switch the charging station as well, thanks

Charging stations are different between 300 series and 400 series mowers so they would have to be swapped with the mowers.

How do you get the pins out of the white female power connector when you have to replace the main wire loom in the base station? Thanks

Thanks for the video. I was only getting between 5v and 9v at my boundary wire connectors and a flashing blue light. I have found a dried up slug on the circuit board, could this be the cause? The circuit board hums a little when the power is on.

Definitely can be what caused the issue! We see that kind of stuff with ants and stink bugs pretty often here in our area

Can you put something between your base and the ground to keep mud from sticking to it so when you bring it in for the winter you won’t have to scrap the mud off or have dirt in your storage place.

My mower really has to bang its way into the charging station. Is this normal? I'm thinking of shaving some of the plastic off between the charging plates on the station so the mower can enter more easily. Would you recommend this course of action?

They actually have parts available now to correct this issue. The problem is that they are on backorder right now nut I believe they will be available again in early July. Send an email to roboticmowerservices@gmail.com and we can give you more information.

Thank you for sending the 5 blade decks. Amazing cutting now!!! I'm waiting for you to get 1 more in stock for my 3rd field mower. lol Oh, by the way, the screw holes on the new 5 blade deck are about 1/4'' set back further than on the OEM 3-blade deck. Can you have that fixed and set the blades back closer to the edge a little? Even 1/8th inch would be helpful. Additionally, why don't you sell the computer board for it? I keep having to go thru Pronto mower for stuff like that and buy the low voltage wiring/power converter et al from individual separate vendors. I'd prefer to buy all my parts in one place. Also, the blades with 2 holes in them so you can reuse the other side of the blade set is awesome so long as they don't get bent, or straighten them before flipping them around. I've seen no loss in performance. I push my 3 field mowers to 2 acres each. With these upgrades, the mowers are doing well. Now for a longer lasting battery. :)

Great video. After getting an antenna error, (red flashing led) I disconnected the base station and found one of the white cables (with the blue sleeve) which goes into the 4 pin connector, had become detached, either through corrosion or physical damage. I stripped the wire and pushed it back in to the connector, and get a green light, but it isn’t very secure. I’m thinking the best solution would be to get a new four pin (p4 ?) connector from a pc supply store, - can you confirm if the 4 pin connector is in fact a p4 ?

Great video. My problem is that I have no light on my charging station pcb. I have tested that 28v going into circuit board but only 4v going out. It did work before but when I pushed in the mower the light kept going out. Then the last time the light never came back on. The mower may have been very low or no charge in it though. Does this just mean a new pcb? I have a 430x.
@RoboticMowerServices2 жыл бұрын
Yes, this usually means that there is an issue with the board. In a few rare occurrences we found that the power supply was causing the issue. In those few rare cases the power supply was putting out the proper voltage, but when the mower was placed in the charging station the voltage coming out of the power supply dropped under that load.

Another great video! Hopefully. after this, I'll find out why I'm getting occasional "no loop signal" errors even though I know the loops are good. It's been quite a surprise to me, right from the beginning, that these electrical connections (the spades) are so poor. In fact one of the connectors for the guides refused to stay fixed from new and needed a little squeeze. Shocking really on a product that's so expensive. Can you supply to France?

Same problem with 320 model. With a Husqvarna battery, it comes out and doesn't charge at all. With a generic one, higher capacity, it charges to 100% and come out. In both case, i have an error message : "problem with charge station". If I restart manually my 320, it keeps working untill next charge. [edit] My problem was due to the higher capacity of the battery. With a lower capacity battery, no problem

I have two 450XH's that mow my 2 1/2 acre lot. About 8 days ago, a power supply stopped working on one of the charging stations. I tested it on the other charging station and confirmed that it was no good, so I ordered a new power supply online. While waiting for the new power supply to arrive, I removed the good power supply and connected it to the charging station that had the bad one. It worked fine for 4 or 5 days, then one night I got a "charging station blocked" error. The mower was near the charging station, so I pushed it into the charging station to start charging it. I didn't see any signs of the charging station actually being blocked. The next day I realized that the mower never charged. I pulled it out of the charging station and noticed the status light wasn't on. Thought it may have blown another power supply. I disconnected the power supply and re-connected it to the other charging station and fortunately, it worked fine so I just left it alone. Yesterday, the new power supply arrived. I connected it and was happy to see a green status light on the charging station. I pushed the mower into the charging station, and started charging it. Within a minute or two, I received an "empty battery" error message on my phone app. The status light went out again, though I could occasionally see a faint red light. Wasn't flashing red though. I unplugged the new power supply and plugged it into the other charging station. It works fine, so I just left it connected to that charging station. Today, I took the charging station apart and didn't see any noticeable issues. I unplugged the connectors and checked them. I removed the circuit board and didn't see any noticeable issues with that either. All connections looked tight and secure and contacts look good. I put it back together and took the old working power supply, and tried plugging it in again to the charging station that I'm having problems with. No change, still seeing the occasional faint red light, but again, it is not flashing red. Have you ran into this before? I didn't remove the bottom of the docking plate, so I don't know if there are any issues with those wires.
@RoboticMowerServices Жыл бұрын
The fact that it is going from green to red when the mower is trying to charge means that there is a component on the charging station board that is failing since it is green until placed under a load. Flashing red would indicate an issue with the antenna wire in the base plate. The only other possibility for the light changing from green to red when the mower is trying to charge is that the charging cables on the mower are melted at the plug and causing the board to short when the mower is plugged in (See this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIaZaqivdrpgjac). But since the power supply for this station failed that is why Im pretty sure the charging station board was affected by that and is the issue now

@@RoboticMowerServices Just for future reference. I ordered a new charging station. It arrived today, so I connected it up. I plugged in the new charging station, and the status light did not light at all, not even the faint red light. Well, there was only one thing left that it could be, so I pulled up the wire that connects the power supply to the charging station that was buried under mulch in a flower bed. I found a spot in the wire that had greenish corrosion. Cut out this small section of wire and re-connected the wire with electrical tape. Problem solved! I'm leaving the new charging station in place and will use the old one for spare parts. Do not know why after installing the new power supply that I got the solid green status light until I pushed the mower into the charging station and tried to charge it...that is why I didn't check the faulty wire before ordering the new charging station.

I have an old 220AC G2 from 2004. The baseplate ( part.no. 535 14 00-01 ) is glued together and both the N-loop and F-loop are broken inside. They are made on a flexible PCB with ~4 turns on each. The F-loop ( far-field ) is the outer loop used for "long-range" base detection. The N-loop ( near-field ) is an 8-shaped loop which guides the final docking. Does anyone have any info on how these 2 loops are attached to the 4-pin connector ? ( It seems impossible to reverse-engineer the layout without destroying the baseplate completely. )

Automower 420 series here. It says my F signal "NO" and my N sensor "YES" when I check Tools>Test>Charging Station on my robot lawnmower. My lawnmower basically finds the charge station with the guide wire but then fails to dock nearly always and that must be because of the lack of F signal? I have pulled the connector for the F and N antenna wires out of the motherboard and then it flashes RED. There is no visible damage at least to any of the cables or the connector itself. When I plug it back in, the flashing red stops so that suggests to me the motherboard must be working and there must be an issue with the F and N wiring loom? Can't think of anything else I can try other than having to buy a new base plate which has a new loom attached to it because I can't find anywhere online that sells just the antenna wiring loom. Any help would be great. Oh and forgot to say that when I use my robot lawnmower outside of the charging sensor and test the sensors the further I take the robot away from the charging station the F and N numbers start to get towards 0 which again makes me think it must be the charging station itself that has an issue? Thanks!
