ArduPilot on a tiny whoop?? Sign me up!!! Loved this.

Nice, well done. You must have good eyes to keep track of it.

I built a 5 inch ardupilot drone, no camera, 2004 motors. I'm below 200 g and fly for 15 min with a 4S 850 mah. I used an open source TBS frame. I also added a LIDAR, the hold position works incredible.

That's super cool! I think I am going to try and use the same avionics and make 5 or 6 next

That's awesome! I'm completely new to drones and ardupilot but am researching for an ArduWhoop build atm. I was hoping to use LiDAR for loiter and navigation, based on your build do you think it could fit on a TinyWhoop? Edit: Also, what LiDAR did you use, I was looking at the RPLidar A2 360 degree mentioned in the Ardupilot documentation but that's 190g on it's own.

Please make a video on the build!! Or detail the build here! I want to build one!

@@imbabywildsorry I did that a year ago and didn’t film it. I used a Goku gn745 AIO and associated gps, compass, range sonar. A 4 inch open source frame from team black sheep. 2004 motors. I can upload the stl file if your’re interested in the frame and canopy. Cheers

Wow, this is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm studying AI and I want to explore swarm behaviour with drones.

Great build. Use of the scripts is fascinating. Depending how the quad is tuned (PIDs) can effect how efficient the ESC/motors are operating. This a common reason motors to get warm. (ie: too responsive a control feedback loop repeatedly try to accelerate and slow the motors so faster than the blades can physically change speed, the result goes to heat) Flight log would provide insight.

Hi, nice build, what battery are you using? And what is flight time (easy flying and hoovering)?

try using andruav installed on an android motherboard (connected via usb to the autopilot) benefits :- 1.smartphone motherboards are quite powerful and have cameras 2.with andruav installed u can go limitless fpv with cellular connection. 3.dont need gps module as u can activate smartphone gps 4.also smartphone motherboards weig less

That is very cool. So much you can do with that. I got an X500 Holybro kit, but I am scared to play with the autonomous fights, It is so big.

Exactly! I was able to crash this drone multiple times and there was never any damage!

GN745 is the smallest we can find that also do INAV? I wish there is a more low cost one. BTW, your bom spreadsheet forget the propellers.

Also from your experience is there a small RTK module for a tiny whoop? Just trying to determine if a project idea I have is possible 😂
@IntelligentQuads5 ай бұрын
@@ElMono19585 I actually haven't used rtk in a project yet. I couldn't tell you if there was an RTK unit that would work with a whoop

How do you connect raspberry pi to it?
@IntelligentQuads11 ай бұрын
This one is too small to have a rpi on board. My next build will be gn745 + rpi based
@hello8164211 ай бұрын
@@IntelligentQuads thanks for the reponse. Could you please create a video guide on building this drone or the one with raspberry. The github page is good, but for a newbie like me, it is still very challenging without a video tutorial. Would be highly appreciated!
