This swarm of 10 autonomous drones can manoeuvre through a bamboo forest in China. They are the first to successfully fly outdoors and navigate unprogrammed obstacles, according to researchers at Zhejiang University who led the experiment.

You should also see another innovation by Shanghai Jiatong University. Drones can fly in the air and dive into the water and hunt for enemy's submarine. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3OwqJ2ajbydfs0 The test was carried out in the Hainan Island . Information can be sent back to the Chinese military on those militarised islands and fire one topedo or even the aircraft carrier. Kaboom!

These are much more efficient than search-and-rescue dogs in locating victims being stranded in deep forest. While waiting for the arrival of the rescuse team, the drones can deliver food and first aids supplies once the victims are being located. This will save a lot of lives.

according to publication on this project, these drones rely only on wireless communiction between themselves and depth cameras for collision avoidance and navigation. so there is no cellular coverage (3/4/5/6G, etc) , no prior knowledge of the enrionment, for instance, maps and so on.
