I have been in a damn confusion when buying a hatch back ..Whether to go for Segment King - Swift or Trend Setter - I20... But when i took test drive of both vehicles one thing I understood is that --- Swift - If you are a true driving enthusiast & looking for a hassle free service plus maintenance ; I20 - If you really concern abt looks & showing off before others rather than driving pleasure .. So I choose SWIFT any day any time..

Swift is not a Premium Hatchback in any sense. Its a practical car with decent feature and the reason why it tops the sales because it from Maruthi Suzuki. The review starts claiming Swift to be a premium hatch....people gotta raise their standards if they call it a premium hatchback.

Elite i20 gives an mileage of 13.5 kmpl and swift dzire gives a mileage of 16.5 17 kmpl in city ride. So if I burn 30 ltrs of fule monthly, Swift will take me 510 kms while i20 can take me 405 kms so there is a good difference of 100 kms almost to cover up this diff of 100 kms i20 requires 7.4 litres of petrol which will cost me 7.4*72 in pune which is 518 Rs a month which will be nearly 6300 rs an year. This difference is going to increase with longer rides in highways and cities. So considering trips in an year I would endup spending roughly 10K more in elite i20. In 5 years of ownership almost 50K more on fuel. I drove both elite i20 and swift dzire. elite's linear acceleration gives you more comfort in busy traffic conditions comparing to swift dzire power. But but but when I drove the same two vehicles in highway overtaking a slugish tracker became a challenge in i20 while swift dzire did much much better there . Though I agree driving is a pleasure in elite even on high speeds. Hilly roads of ghats man swifts turning and control is far far better than elite. Choice is yours.

nice review. All points are cover. but i personally feel it can't beat swift in sales. Boot and interior space was always better in i 20 compare to swift so it's not new to people. When I speak to swift owners they are very happy with it's driving pleasure, millage and maintenance but I never found any i 20 user same things rather they cry for less millage (Compare to swift but actual millage is not bad) another thing is that people who don't understand the features offered by car make fun of i 20 users for paying more money then bigger sedan car.

Abhishek Panchal elite i20 is the best.i don't personally like old i20 compared to swift but while comparimg the swift with elite i20,elite i20 is the boss with a 16 inch alloy wheel,reverse parking sensors with camera,rear ac vents,tilt and telescopic steering,cooled glove box,big boot space,big rear seat space,leather wrapped steering wheel,dvd playback,1gb internal memory, instrument cluster,stylish rear view and many more...so,elite i20 not one of the best car,it is the best hatchback car in the market

i 20 is really great car.go for it.....as compared to other hatchbacks,, superb handling,(light steering) good amount of space and cabin quality is good..and lots off features like reverse parking camera sensors, abs, airbags. rear ac , for music lovers i20 comes with 4 speakers and tweeters.

We have 2 swifts and a punto in our family.And have driven i20 too.If your city drive is more than highways and want premium looks,better go for i20.But if you enjoy long drives like us,go Swift for sporty,hassle free drive, and Punto for it's cool handling,ride comfort and safety.

God video. I bouth brand New Hyundai I20 fore 3 years ago and are so happy With that car. I live in Norway and here we also have snow and Mountains. This I20 is a very god car to drive. Now Its a brand New I20 and Its look fantastic. In 2 years I will bay New car agein and I think It can be this New I20 agein. Mutch car fore Money. Looks god to. Hyundai is 4 biggest car Company in the world today. Car fore Europa like I20, I30, IX35 and moore is made in Europa. Hyundai have modern fabric. Them also made their own steel. First things first, If you are a Driving Enthusiast, then there is no way comparing Swift to the latest or later i20. As stated in the previous comments Swift is really a FUN to drive. There is no way i20 can match this fun. And for the other comforts like Rear leg room and boot, y by a Hatchback? Go look for a Sedan. The other stuff like Music system is still modifiable in any car.

Swift is till the better car , anytime. elite is more gimmicky & have seen mostly new drivers opting for it . elite doesn't even come close to swift when it comes to touring & enjoying a good ride. Plus the interiors of elite feel so dated so soon, it just bores you & the music system & front seat cushioning sucks big time. Swift on the other hand has some really practically useful things built inside & the interior just grows on you a lot more with time. And its really funny how stupid information is shown in elite MID , gear change & other useless info. Swift MID is every bit useful & is something you refer to everyday. Elite i20 is only for those for who feel driving is just a task & not something beyond & really need that extra bootspace. Otherwise, swift is still a clear winner.

Reviewer showed button start in i20. Swift ZXI has button start. parking sensor, steering adjustment, auto climate control etc, but i20 sports 1.2(which is almost same price of ZXI) do not offer any of these(not even button start). Swift had a good handling capacity at high and lower speeds. Comfortable driving experience. smooth and hassle free clutch , responsive engine. I20 elite has many additional features compared with swift. but driving comfort ability, engine response and performance, pickup speed are poor. Only attachment features are good. buying a car for its features or buying a car for good ride and comfort ??? fools but i20.,

This review is ridiculously biased towards Elite i20. I have had test drive for VW polo , swift and elite i20 and found out that i20 sucks big time in case of power delivery. i20 has a linear acceleration hence if one wants to cut corners he would have to struggle very hard with the gears and chances are that even then it wont be possible to get that needed acceleration. Braking is pretty bad too. ABS gets activated pretty quickly even if you are braking at slow speeds. PS - i20 is like a super hot girlfriend that goes by her will and doesnt allows you to do anything with her.

I think I-20 is the best car and it offers a lot of features than Swift and also the AC which I-20 offer is more comfortable than the Swift and the function of I-20 seat is so good that Swift will not get chance to stand in place of I-20 . Overall the I-20 contain a lot of features and don't waste your time on buying Swift and also ignore the features of Swift car
