Wow, you just saved me a lot of money. My Chevy Equinox refused to start. Called a mobile technician who couldn't immediately figure out what was wrong. Initial thought was I had to replace the starter. Went online, watched your video and I was able to get it to start without buying anything!!! Turns out the new key I had been using for a few months was no longer communicating with the immobiliser!!! Put in the old key and viola, the car started. Definitely subscribing to your channel! I loved the way you laid out the investigative steps logically so I could test it sequentially. Well done!!!

I’m not sure if this will help anyone, but it’s worth a try : ) I had the problem of my 2013 chevy malibu not cranking at all. The anti-lock light came on and I couldn’t start w/o a jump . I bought a new battery/fuses and the problem persisted. My dad told me to hit the starter with a pole or such and BAM! The car cranked . I thought to myself “woah it couldn’t have been that easy” Here it is close to a year later and my car won’t crank or click. I hit the starter with a broomstick this time and low & behold the car starts instantly! Sorry for the long comment. I sure this solution probably sounds crazy, but it surely worked more than once . I had the same problem. I tried the original key that broke and it started. The problem was the copy key. Thanks man, you saved me a lot time and money. I was going to call a mechanic since i couldn't start it for 2 days.

2:17 really works for me, i only used the key to started my car because my wife broke the keyfob. There was warning light coming out in my dashboard display with car and lock images and the car didnt started. i went to youtube, found this video, i put back the keyfob with the key, and guest what? Bruuummm!!! Went back home, met my wife, feel so proud that i can fixed the car 😂😂😂 (chevy sonic lt sedan 2012)

Currently dealing with this on a 2014 Cruze 1.8 manual. Replaced the micro relay and clutch pedal switch. Still won't crank. You can hear that gray relay he pulled clicking.

I live in Mn and went out to start my car in the -10 degree weather and first it didn’t unlock with my key pad so i had to manually unlock it with my key. then i put the key in and turned in and no crank, no noise, and no lights came on and my key would come out either. do you believe it’s something with the ignition or should i replace the battery in the key.

@@dylanlysne2240 thanks for the fast response having same issue seems like a completely dead battery but it's wierd becuase I went to try to get a new key and they scanned my key to cut a new one and said their machine couldn't recognize my key as a main key and couldn't do it so am assuming my issue is my key got disprogramed or something

Hello i'm having exactly same issue! no crack.. sometimes when i do key many time on/off quickly it just starts and dies immediately also i'm getting an error "Immobiliser key not programmed" .. i Found pin on BCM. i used launch to re-learn key and it was successfull but still the same problem. also when i read on "read data stream" on ecu.. -" relay starter" i see a message "is disabled by immobiliser" i already tried two new keys but still no luck, today i have ordered used key, ignition , ecu and immobiliser + antenna, i hope it works.. what could be the issue?

2017 Buick Casada: That device (fuse?) shown at 7:50 of the video appears to be directional. Putting it in backwards causes a no crank condition.

Common problems with the immobilizer most people can't figure it out but that is a common problem that I have personally come across many times

I have a Holden 2009 Cruze which I checked all the fuses (using a Volt metre) from your vids (Thanks heaps, I learned something new), but it still won't start. My car was stolen, I got the ignition barrel fix with the key I have. The key had a new shell installed, and it is reading the chip. I do believe it still is the key, but multiple people already said the key is working - so I looked for something else. I struck I dead end as I don't have one of those iPad things that can confim Live Data when key is inserted. Do you have ways to by pass the immobilizer to get it started so I can use the car? Would be awesome to hear from you.

Omg.. it's 6 am..I been trying to get my 2014 Malibu to crank for 38 minutes ! It's been doing this for about 5 months now..tonight is the only night it's ever taken this long ! I figured I needed a new battery so I ordered one..it says I need to reset my theft mode..which I've done..I do what the other videos say and it cranks in about 3-5 minutes at most . 2011 traverse no start starter bad replaced. still no start radio plays and blower motor runs. no dash lights fuel pump runs by taking ground off left front motor block. all fuses and relays all good. remove battery cable from fuse box under hood sparks. horn honks some times
