Definitely keep the 1.4 and definitely get it remapped and a bigger turbo on it. Can't wait to see the colour you chose, Ant. If it was my choice, I would have gone for a nice dark blue to go with those grey alloys you currently got on the Punto, with either a hint of red or yellow calipers and piping just to get some contrast on the colour ways. Anyways, whatever you do, I'm looking forward to more of this project, can't wait for the next episode, this one was very funny you 3 jave very good chemistry, JP was in a right mood,😅 Dan was being a wind up merchant and Ant went along with it poor JP the Punto King was not having it today! 😂 too funny, lads, don't lose this. Original condition and paint with a tad bit more boost so and make it sound boosted and not muted 🔥🤞 car couldn't be handed over to anyone more qualified than auto sportivo and the Punto king 😂 ❤. Keep it up gents congrats on 20k 🙌😎👏

Nice project! I agree with Antz - stick with the 1.4 engine but maybe a slightly bigger turbo + remap to give it a chunk more torque. I always felt that engine needed it in the bigger & heavier Punto chassis. Also, if it's been sat around in primer for a while I hope the bodyshop has or will bake it to dry it out before any more paint goes on...

No worries - my Coupé sat in primer for 6 months and wasn't dried/baked before getting its base & lacquer and the net result was thousands of tiny bubbles appearing under the lacquer a few months later as the moisture from the primer found its way out 😕

Definitely get up back up and running there ain't many of them left now , I seen a soft top one last year slammed on its arse , but just a normal sorttop model not a turbo one ,

Try and keep her true as you can - original engine - good she has been sorted in the floors and sills ! Friend has a 96 Punto Sporting - she had to get the sills and floors done and she only has 70k miles and garaged - not many left now of that era !

I agree with J.P the blue is 💯 the best. My old one was blue, bigger turbo and canned up. That was a super fun car. Love to have another one. I am really looking forward to this project. Although part of me wants you to stuff a 16vt lump in there, it does kinda have to stay original.

Love the channel. I had mk1 gt on an 1994 L reg from new I owned it for 10 years and it was fiat midnight metallic blue the only colour to have .

If u guys want to keep it, put integrale engine it would be meraviglioso, but if u want to sell it keep it 1.4 GT turbo i.e. original. As for the paint imo do a pearliscent paint, it would go nice with the Punto's curves and shape. Cheers.
