So called turbo lag makes me chuckle, so hard I've cracked ribs. Drive it like it's a single big turbo engine, as in keep the rpm's high as in you have the headroom ffc's sake. Get it into the red and some and it'll be kicking in again on the upshift. You're not going to appreciate the instant power if you're keeping the rev counter in the green! Try to keep it around 4.5-5000 rpm before dropping down and you will have instant power on tap and a subsequent quick upshift. These engines are strong, very strong and will handle the regular high rpm's necessary to get the most out of them. They ain't drop forged internals for nothing. Certainly good for 280 bhp as stock with nothing but a map. Capable with internal upgrades, cooling and some stroking to 500 plus. Remember these puppies weigh in around 1250 kg so power to weight is impressive. As for the gearbox, it's good for 600bhp plus. I've had some nice cars, each have pros and cons for sure. If money was no object, I'd take a 20v turbo to the limit, 4wd, slip diff and so on, making it a carbon fibre tub and body. It should be around 1100kg with around 600 bhp on tap. If I could get one, I'd have a f50 GT, make it 4wd, and apply some lightweight electronics to add traction control. I can't see anything today around a track, say 20 laps holding with this. Electric is a compromise, in that they are heavy and have limited range. But the fact they have filthy batteries to produce and run is okay apparently.

No problem for a guy working at home, but from a business point of view, it's a none starter

Use that turbo but rework it, until the top of the injectors, improve intercooler, better brakes, improve air intake with old aways, and spend the most in suspension improve the brakes and everything about handling ud bars etc and don't forget the rear because it's always loose I will say speak with Bruno from bds he had put one abarth at few places,few times so he can tell you few hints, but I will say that that Bedford it's all about weight and handling, don't forget the tyres, enjoy the ride and I'm waiting for the series ...

What a great video. The vibe harkens back to my youth watching the old Faulty Tower sitcoms. OK I have a Busso story that borders on the supernatural. So two years ago I randomly took this really steep street in CA to avoid a congested section of hwy. At the bottom of the hill there is an RX-7 FD parked in a driveway rare enough right? Then as I continue to drive up I spot an Alfa GTV, then an Audi 80, Maserati Bi-Turbo, and two Opels with German plates. Ok fair enough this particular street has its share of car hoarders. 6 months later I'm curious so drive by again but this time go further up the street. One house that has been somewhat neglected is harboring not one but two identical champagne 164LS's with moss and lichen growing on them (mind you this is in an expensive part of CA whrer the homes are worth well over $1M). I leave a note on the windshield asking if they want to sell and carry on. Nothing for a year so last month I'm in the area and driveby again thinking they'd be gone and their still there! Leave another note another month goes by then I receive a txt. saying I can have both for free if I can tow them away but of course the lady lost both keys! In any case I'm back in Japan at this point trying to figure all of this out (I don't need to hoard any more cars but how can you say no to a pair of "free" Busso Alfas? So of course atm I'm researching heaps of Busso timing belt videos and the like. Yesterday I'm visiting a local shrine and of all the cars in Japan what pulls into the parking lot? A burgundy with tan interior 156 GT with the 3.2L Busso! I apologize for the novel- the odds must be billions to one😂 🙏
