@@cdh1320 Love the build. I'm honestly asking cause I do not know but how you running in the 10s and don't have a roll cage in the car? All the tracks I've seen requires a roll cage for 11.49 or less. Just honestly curious. I don't know what I don't know lol

@@cdh1320 hey man I've been building a 67 ii since I was 15yo haha. This is exactly how I envisioned my car being done with the right ration of nostalgia:modern. I've even had the billet specialties for years now. But I've redone my front clip a few times already... Went from rebuilding the stock, to the cpp stuff with stock wheel wells with cut out for fender well headers. To now I a full church boys front clip bout to go on it. I see ur wearing the CBR shirt. Interested to know more about ur front clip/ leaf spring setup.(looks like cal-tracs maybe on rear) I'm currently finishing up my own garage to finish the build. Can't wait to have the full CBR clip on it. Just curious to know more about your suspension setup socks etc. Your car def rides up like a cutter thru ice love it

Pretty impressive car man. Amazing how well it hooks with a 255. Great build!!
@danmyers93722 жыл бұрын
I think he has old school style slider bars on the leaf springs. They still work really well. It also appears he has loose front shocks allowing a lot of weight transfer. Hey modern radial race cars have gone sub 4.0 1/8th mile on a 275 radial which is not much bigger than this tire. Of course that is on a track prepped with a ton of traction compound…

Totally bitchin’ build! I have always liked the ‘66-67 Novas. They look kinda like a scaled down ‘66-67 Chevelle. I love that he left the car still looking like a mostly stock ‘60’s muscle car. I have the same tastes. The one drawback to these cars from a performance standpoint are the small rear tire openings. Guessing the 8” wheel and 255 tire was the biggest that fits without mini tubbing the rear quarters. I do wonder how in the world he was able to run 10.30’s at an NHRA sanctioned track with no roll cage. Heck it doesn’t even have a roll bar!
@jasonstanford2 жыл бұрын
Yeeeaaah I don't know about that. I was thinking the same thing. No harnesses either. Heck 20 years ago I was doing mid 12s in a 69' Camaro with just a lap belt at an NHRA track and they waved me off.
