Always dreamed of building one of these with my son. I'm a chevy guy through and through but there is just something special about the cobra that nothing else compares to. I remember getting a payed ride at a car show one time, in a car like this. There was a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, Aston Martin... but I could hear ONE care, but I couldn't see it. And I told my friend; "Whatever THAT is, I'm getting in it". And it was a Shelby Cobra. I didn't even have to open the doors to get in it, and hear those side pipes roar. We drove 2 laps and that was it, but it was also something I'm gonna remember for the rest of my life, because holy **** this car was not only fast and loud. But it beat every carnival ride I've ever bin on! BEAUTIFUL car!

Hey Shawn, true story. Back in 1981, I was driving (my 1st car at 21) a '71 ford Pinto north on the I-5 from San Diego to LA. All of sudden my car started to rattle and shake, I look to my right and lo and behold it was AC Cobra, loud as hell, the driver had on leather jacket & helmet, goggles and a white scarf blowing in the wind! That thing was shaking my Pinto to pieces, I thought I was going to lose the dented front fender. Cobra's are pure power. Period.

I absolutely love it. I WILL have and build my dream cobra one day. It is a life roam goal of mine. The best cars to ever come out of the USA is the Ford GT (original and 2005 version), the Corvette 427 C2, and the Shelby Cobra. Completely timeless and endlessly beautiful. With performance you can’t beat by pretty much anything.

The Road through the site newly Tarmacked , was about 1 mile long . Me and another Fitter were on a slight rise , along side the Road . I heard this sound of a Car running not quite at it's best . Looked round , and a Sports Car was rolling down the Road . My Friend almost turned a cartwheel , and he told me this '' That is a Ford gt40 , and probably running cold , with the choke on , just wait '' , The Driver hit the pedal , and it was Gone . The Guy with me said it probably came from David Prophet Garage , a well respected Petrol Head . P.S . Thanks for the Videos .

Wow, awesome car. The only thing I would add would be a heat shield (color matched) over the side exhaust. Anyone who has been around these cars with the (awesome looking) side exhaust finds out real quick why they are commonly referred to as leg burners.

Superformance is great! I’d happily trade in my tuned C6 Z06 for one of those roadsters, considering I have a more modern sport car already. It’s a shame they don’t have a dealer in my country. We have some Cobra replicas here, but they don’t go well on track (one spun off the track in front of me and was black flagged, because it was the second time!). By the way that “restomod” version remind me of the 2004 Shelby Cobra Concept with it’s glorious V10 Ford engine. It’d have been a blast!

Have you ever heard of Rick Long when I use to autocross at thompson speedway in the 90 I was mentored by Rick Long he was a Driving instructor for lynn foxx out of watkins glens NY he had a. Nasty yellow. Contempory cobra 500:all allum Svo big block he use to do everything run and guns it did 180mph at with top down ran 10.999 quarter 550 hp that's it unreal all around car number 13 jag rear widened seat area very hard to drive for me I'm 5.6 he was 6.0 seats were contour for him it was most powerful machine I've ever drove at that time I wish I continued school with them but ended up in drag racing u would love to drive for a race team again who needs a driver but with covid-19 messing up sports might need to hold off on that all I wanna do is be around fast cars doing anything I have played with some cars that were hardly noticed like 87 grand am turbo 4.9 to sixty that car was tweaked by me it would tear up mustangs and grand nationals after I added a prototyoe intercooler I got from a engineer from gm that said it was the only one ever made that car was only 200hp but really torqued out brazilian built-2.0 garrett turbo no turbo lag exhaust dumped out before cat cool all black little beast passed a jag at 149 mies hour in maine turnpike that nothing car really was unique
