I got prefacelift 2020 mk4 ST and I must say that is awesome car. I put on Milltek exhaust, lowered it and put on some distancers. Now it looks as it should and sounds perfect. Trust me this car is not so slow, for me it is fast enough on stock map. Manual gearbox is very good and feeling behind the stering wheel is perfect. One of the best hothach cars for everyday use if not the best.

The way the tachometer moves, the amount of lag when it changes the gears is amazing. When I say lag, I mean the refresh rate of the lcd. I think that lag was back in 2001 at BMW e46 .... The other brands are soooo behind with the tech

I've got a golf mk7 with analog tacho and it works perfectly fine. Tbh I wouldn't mind a swap for an lcd screen, so I can have more info on the dash as well as the maps cause I don't even use the tacho meter. Not that I've never been at redline, cause that happens. It's more of a case that I can guess pretty accurately what rpm I got base on the throttle response, acceleration and sound. Once you know your car, you barely use your spedo and the tacho doesn't need to exist

Just ordered one in Frozen White with the Track Pack (Brembo’s, KW and Corsa’s). Gonna do a Mountune M330 tune to it to make the engine what it should be. Ford detuned it big time after 5000 revs. It’s the perfect fun car for every day.

I have a focus st mk 4. Boring stock, but stage 2, absolutely hilarious, 1340kg , manual , 390bhp . So much fun. Ford cheap out on lots of things , but if you throw a few quid at these then you have a very fun car that will beat far more expensive ones. Stage 3/500bhp coming soon also 😂

Yup. Ford Engines are notoriously underperforming, especially the newer Ecoboost types. Most don’t come anywhere close to their factory claims. They all seem to have 10% less power output than the number from the specs. Ford should be sued for scamming their customers. Some cars, the focus included, are still nice and fun to drive, but the engines suck big time. Their small 4 cylinder Diesel engines aren’t even their own invention. They buy them from PSA (Peugeot, Citroën etc.) LOL!!!

@@Funky1ism The way he drives in the video is very damaging. It always turns into the limiter. The FlatShift in the Fiesta holds the RPM at the same position even though you give full throttle. It's not good either, but it's better than what he made in the video. I have 36000km and used it maybe 3 times in 3 years. The clutch can handle that.

The new Focus ST is a nice car, but way too expensive given the poor performance. I have no idea why American car manufacturers are always over promising when it comes to engine performance. I bet this Focus pushes 230-240hp on the dyno, at best. Poor power output and very bad aerodymanics are the reason why it can't keep up at all with a Golf GTI. It's a nice hatch, but not really attractive for people who drive a lot on the autobahn.

So if ur MK2 is faster than ST mk4 then it's also faster than the RS mk3 which I have a very hard time to believe.
