What you probably mean is that it doesn't need split crankpins because the bank angle of 120° already creates even firing intervals. But that's a different thing.

A V6 isn't a baby V12 though, they're a mongrel of an engine which requires so many things to remedy their shortcomings. An Inline 6 is exactly half a V12 though. Let's not act like all things being equal a V6 is in any way an upgrade over a flat plane crank V8.

It's V12 I think and crazy to drive so quick in a normal road! Cars Bicicles Tractor Peoole, Animals. Do it only on motorway when no traffic , dry, well view. Better on race circuit, they have fire fighters and emergency doctors, special equipped cars, maybe helicopter.

It looks like car companies are taking the same approach as motorcycle companies after the 300km/h gentlemen’s agreement. Despite being having only about 5-10 MPH of top speed advantage on the outgoing Ferrari 488, it gets there _seconds_ quicker than the 488 does. The acceleration of the 296 is borderline hypercar level, and the wail of that V6 is just an added bonus.
