@@kuchendiat9509 juristisch war es so, dass der Benz vorbeifahren wollte (überholt hat er nicht, da kein Spurwechsel involviert war) und der Audi beschleunigt hat, BEVOR der MB auf gleicher Höhe mit ihm war. Wenn zB der Audifahrer aussagen würde, er hätte beschleunigt um einem aufziehenden Langsamverkehr auf seiner Spur auszuweichen, käme er damit jederzeit straffrei durch, da er durch seine Geschwindigkeitserhöhung genug Abstand zum Benz erzeugt hat um gefahrlos und unbehindernd die Spur wechseln zu können. Ähnliche Situation, in der jeder von uns war: Wir fahren rechts 100, sehen im Spiegel auf der linken Spur einen Kleintransporter oder ein WoMo mit 120 kommen und wollen einem LKW der vor uns 90 fährt, überholen. Wer wartet, bis das (relativ) langsame überholende Fahrzeug den ganzen Vorgang abgeschlossen hat (und womöglich noch 10 Minuten auf der linken Spur bleibt, was ja auch üblich ist :)? Wenn ich die Möglichkeit, habe, noch gefahrlos die Spur zu wechseln, tu ich das natürlich noch bevor der andere herankommt. Was nicht erlaubt ist, ist das Rechtsvorbeifahren auch ohne Spurwechsel, also wenn der Audi hier von hinten käme. Ausnahme: das Vorbeifahren im Kolonnenverkehr mit max 20 KMH Differenz ohne Spurwechsel.

I fully agree with you - this E53 AMG has the type of soundtrack that is both engaging, but not over the top - really impressed by its ability to coast with the engine off when in Eco Mode. Definitely a big advancement over the E43 that is certain. Great review!

This is a beautiful car with awesome integrated technology. Honestly, as much as Mercedes is trying to make the AMG engines sound awesome, and I am sure the 3L does, it will never sound like their iconic V8 AMG engines. It simply will never give you that emotion.

Congrats. I got the 2018 E63S just recently this summer. I really like what Mercedes/AMG are doing with the 43 and 53 lineup. I almost got into a E43, however I knew the 53 would be coming soon with many improvements, so I went with a 63. I'm sure you'll love the CLS53.

Wow, it has an 'electric starter' what will MB think of next? 4:11. Lol. There a time not so long ago that a E63 was a low 4 second car for 0 to 100 kph. Now it is being done by a 3l I6 hybrid, incredible really.

As I understand it, the additional 250Nm and 22hp from EQ Boost are delivered for short periods only and at lower rpm. The peak torque and power figures do not exceed 520Nm and 435hp (so you cannot add them together). What you do get it instantaneous (lag free) performance. I like how mine drives.

You also get an AMG training if you choose the delimiter. It's a german thing to limit it to 250. Most people can't handle more than 250 km/h safely..

Nevermind 250km/h....here in Canada most "drivers" (and I use the term "driver" loosely....) can't handle 120!!
