It's surreal that this car exists...it's mind blowing that there are people who first came up with all of these extremely stupid and gimmicky ideas and didn't have enough self-control and decency to keep them to themselves, and that there was then someone in the company who liked those ideas and approved them for production. It's shocking. Must be a real clown show at BMW these days with the people working there and the people in charge. Most of the people working there now would have been laughed at while being kicked out of the BMW headquarters in the 90's, rightfully so. This is no longer a 7 series, it's not a luxury car either. It's a gimmick on wheels. This car caters to people who shouldn't be allowed to own cars to begin with. If you like this, something is very wrong with you mentally, if you also make enough money to be able to afford it and buy it, it speaks all about how broken the economics are in today's society to allow even certifiably insane people to afford luxury cars. In other words, this is a perfect car for the times we live in, the ridiculousness of it perfectly highlights the ridiculousness of the world. A parody car for parody times.

Spot on true. Unfortunately, with the recent presentation of their "iVision Dee" BMW have demonstrated they're willing to continue with this stupidity and climb a new peak of silliness. "Dee" is short for "Digital emotional experience" meaning the whole front screen serves as a gigantic Head-up display. On the exterior the car can change its colour a zillion times while on the move. They say the asian markets (so basically: China) would love such things, regardless of whether they'd ever be legal. Even if not everything will make into serial production the path into absurdity has clearly been taken.
