If you mean the way it pops on the overrun you can switch it off by personalising individual mode, I have mine set so the car doesn't go off like an AK47 coming off the throttle. I get what you mean though, I'm wrong side of my 40's and not a fan of the pops either. Never get tired of the ZF8 gear change farts though!

The pops n bangs are stock for all RS6's in dynamic/sports mode, it can be switched off by personalising individual mode in the drive select menu though. Not a fan of the pops on the overrun either, bit too chav for my liking. Not the first time I've caught myself out before by leaving it in sports mode and scaring the shit out of everyone (including myself lol).

I'm not a 100% sure, but does it really have 700hp? The Acceleration is comparable to an M3 Touring Competition with 510hp. I know that the RS6 is heavier, but that would be 200hp on top of the M3 Comp. .

True but in terms of sound this is the most emotional RS6! I do get what you say about the sensation of speed, i drove an 8V RS3 and it was way more underwhelming than for instance a 340i
