Was wondering why my old sessions didn't sound the same when I went to mix the songs with auto tune 8 SMH. I thought it was the new plug-ins I was using but now I see that auto tune 5 sound is what was missing. Thanks for the break down... I guess I will be upgrading to this version.

Every artist watching this video I know for a fact you're going to improve your recording quality if you just keep searching for tutorials like these.. Trust me you don't need any expensive equipment at all, just get a decent mic (somthin like Rode NT1A will do the job), qood quality cables for your interface and lastly I would recommend the iconic mars comet portable isolation booth. Artists that recorded on my beats use only low budget equipment like that and their results are honestly skyrocketing bc they keep watching tutorials like this one and learn about useful plugins (which we all know how to get for free so that shouldn't be a big deal) and how to prevent all the mistakes you could be doing during the recording process. If you had all the most expensive equipment there would be no guarantee for high quality recordings because it's soo much more important to know how to properly work with it 😇🥰 Best of luck to y'all

Great video ! Regarding the Auto Key function... if a guy doesnt know which key they wrote the song in then i go ! Wow! ok. LOL Here´s a tip for you guys. It´s in 99% of the cases in a regular pop song always the last chord. If you are not writing some symphonic stuff with key changes and beat swaps.

I’ve been using this but for some reason when I use the auto tune pro my vocals keep going from the speaker and then randomly it sounds like it’s inside the computer and then it’ll come back in but it’s never in the same spot and I can’t seem to find anyone else that’s having this problem. It sounds great but it just keeps going from in the speaker to no sound randomly and if I start it from a different part it will choose a different place to go out in

If you wanna make it big with your music, I can only recommend investing in your gear. The PRO version is way more smooth, and if you're not a great producer, you will definitely benefit a lot from the Pro version.

Yes, I was going through your arsenal of studio gear there and realized you don't actually have that particular summing mixer but do you have a comparison or before and after (a/b) video of a song recorded with a Focusrite interface for example and your current set?

for anyone who doesnt have auto key yet, a fast way to find the key if you know how to recognise the key already, and you have a microphone, in logic i used to have the tuner tool on the top bar, and whenever i have to find the key i just open it and hum the key while letting my mic pick it up

I have a singer and a song that changes keys several times. I have Auto Tune Pro and the key finder plugin, but if the song is running, how can I reset auto tune to detect the new key without stopping the singer to do so? If I leave key finder running, will it change auto tune pro when the song's key changes?How do the pros handle this? ProTools 12.7 HDX.

The key finder wouldn't be able to do this, because you have to tell the key finder to send the key to Pro Tools. What you could do is automate the key changes in Pro Tools with autotune. Or if you're not great with automation, just duplicate your tracks and have each one play when the key of the song is in. So for example you have 3 key changes make 3 tracks with the lead vocal and paste the vocal onto the track with the correct key.

I didn't notice much difference in the sound quality. Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure much of the update was geared towards making it easeier to use.

Hey man! I definitely notice a difference in how it tunes the vocal especially when going from one note to another. I used AT8 for a while but really didn't enjoy the algorithm, the pitch sounded like it would "glide" from one note to another. For that reason, I was back to using EFX and now that AT Pro is out the normal algorithm for it is improved for sure. Its a very slight difference but a difference in fact, and one that could be noticed with some A/B.

I don't necessarily agree with this. You have much more control editing the tuning with Auto-tune Pro. EFX is great, but it's limited on features.
