@@majethiasam I say there is no good resale value of any car because - last year I posted an ad on Bangalore Used Car page on Facebook to sell my Scorpio S6+, it was driven 39K and it was well maintained. For 6 months at-least 40 useless dealers came home to test drive and they offered not more than 6.5 lacs… so assuming of good resale value is a dream only

Kodiaq comes with Audi engine with adaptive suspension too.. is AWD with electronic differential locks..along with adapative suspension with 6 modes for different driving conditions.. you can take one in manali snow conditions but not hycorss which is just FWD with torque at 209 nm compared to 320 nm in kodiaq.. so byebye snow or sand or rainy conditions with hycross.. you have to be extra cautious in these conditions..

I say this because last year I posted a Facebook ad on Bangalore Used Cars page to sell my well maintained Scorpio S6+ which was driven only 39K, for more than 6 months at least 40 useless dealers visited my home for test drive and their max offer was 6.5 lacs. I am 100% sure you are not a Kodiaq owner because no Kodiaq owner talks like you. Check my other reply to your comment

and to that it is AWD and has 320 nm of torque compared to just 209 nm in hycross.. for a large vehicle torque should be more because it carries a lot of weight.. kodiaq comes with adas.. and is more comfortable.. you will know only if you ride one.. the suspension has 6 modes for different terrains too.. that feature comes in bmw or merc or audi or top luxury brands.. for hycorss there is only one suspension mode..

Here is my version - Kodiaq diesel is coming to India next year, but what if DIESEL itself is BANNED? Being skeptical and knowing that diesel engines might get banned there are non-Indian brands in India determined to loot Indians. I had owned and driven 3 generations of Scorpio and driven 50% only on bad roads. I love diesel engines and their torque. Last year when i sold my Scorpio, I decided not to buy other Diesel SUVs from non-Indian brands who are so greedy in pricing and the build quality of those SUVs are so cheap. Their level of greediness is so dirty that they won’t give you an audio system in the car. I was looking for an alternate to my Scorpio’s (true Indian) performance and Kodiaq was the only SUV which gives that thrill after Scorpio and as capable as Scorpio on the bad roads.

@@KeshavaRaju08021980Friday Dude in Kerala 1st service cost 13,700 rs in Kerala. I don't have hycross and in Toyota dealer 1 st service cost 7k rs. Kodiaq is a powerful vehicle no doubt. But does your Kodiaq has a lot of space? I feel cramped inside while sitting on Kodiaq on 3rd row. Only advantage of Kodiaq is powerful engine and good interior quality. At least that 'Czech' company and thier owner 'volkswagen' should reduce the service cost of thier vehicle. And also selling below 500 units even if it is cheaper than overpriced Fortuner that sells more than 2000 units. Hycross sells more than 4000 units. Also you should think why it sells in low numbers......

If you can afford it and want the most bang for your buck then go for the Skoda Kodiaq top version with all the bells and whistles including the 4wd. The Hycross is a bit bigger in size but is extremely lacking in other areas including no 4wd option across any of its versions which is criminal at this price point. Also, the 2024 version of the Kodiaq which hasn't been launched in India yet is an absolutely gorgeous looking car and looks far better than the current version offered in India. What i find more surprising is that the Kodiaq is being compared with the Innova Hycross. It's like comparing gold and silver, the Kodiaq is a far more accomplished and sophisticated car than the Innova Hycross which is basically a reliable but ultimately basic family car or passenger vehicle.

Stupid comparison review that I have ever watched primarily due to the wrong metaphor they used for each other's car. Since when did Innova Hycross start to look like a full-size SUV? seriously? It just looked like a more refined MPV than the Innova Crysta. Similarly, I have never EVER heard anybody say that Kodiaq looked like a grown-up crossover. My options are only 1) Mahindra Scorpio/XUV 700 @25L - but it's not that premium. 2) skoda kodiaq @50L its a premium car. 3) Land rover discovery @85L 4) bmw X7 @1.6Crores Other competitors lacks something 1) Hycross @25L no AWD and not that premium 2) Jeep meredian/ tata safari @45L/ 25L are DIESEL 3) Toyota Fortuner @45L has Petrol no 4WD, only diesel gets 4WD 4) All entry bmw / audi / Mercedes @50L are 5 seaters only 5) Mercedes Benz glb @80L has 7seater but no AWD. Yes but in real world if I had to spend 50L, I would choose 1) Audi Q3 5seater Petrol AT AWD @55L is VFM in premium 2) Mercedes gla AMG 5seater Petrol AT AWD @65L with 300hp is more VFM in premium. 3) Porsche Macan 5seater Petrol AT AWD @1.1crore with 250hp is most premium.
