Anne with an e on netflix starts really well. The first few episodes are fab. After a while is strays so far from the book. I had to stop watching it eventually because it annoyed me so much. I hope you like it, but be warned that it is nothing like the book after a while.

Okay just requested The Reckoning of Gossamer Pond from the library. The only copy they have is Large Print so I will feel like I am speed reading ;-) I have not read Dr. Jekyll.. hmm might have to read that one. ughh I could not finish Wuthering Heights.. messed with my head! I added Mistborn to my library TBR list! I didn't read Anne until I was an adult too. I have only read the first book too. I enjoyed the book except when Anne wouldn't stop talking :-P I would love to hear if she grows out of that! I loved If I Run.. and really hope the next book is at the library today (I put it on hold a few days ago). One creepy one that I still think about is The Host.. I read it after reading her other books (Twilight but I wasn't a fan) but the premise of it makes me think about it often and because of that I would classify it as a good book.

Loved this video! I am currently reading Anne Of Avonlea. I also grew up with the movies but have never read all the books. That book by James Rubart sounds great. I realized I had three of his books on my TBR but have never read any🤔. My library has them though so yay! Lunar Chronicles is probably one of my favourite YA series, although I don't read a lot of YA anymore I could definitely see myself re-reading that one. Sherlock I have read the first book and quit, just couldn't get into it... and last but not least the "if I run" series I have only read the first book😲. Honestly I am not sure why I never finished it.🤷‍♀️ Great video I love Fall and thanks for the recommendations!

But now it looks like I need to try The short stories lol!😊 I am only one chapter into Anne lol so I don't have many thought yet. But Yes, it is the second book. She is about 16. I have Skyward on my massive TBR and am really interested in it....but I still need to read Hero of Ages and then I THINK I will move on to StormLight Archive series but I don't know they are pretty intimidating!!!

I can get this in Large Print through Evergreen Library System and this book will arrive at my Local Library. I have the Big Fancy Book of Sherlock Holmes. I highly recommend the entire Anne of Green Gables series. My favorite is actually the very last one, book 8, Rilla of Ingleside. Rilla is actually one of my favorite L. M. Montgomery books, up there with The Blue Castle! I was an avid fan of hers in high school and college, and read most of her books. Still love to pick them up now and then! Also, I wanted to tell you that I had high hopes for the Anne with an E series on Netflix, and they were quickly dashed by I think the second episode? Completely deviated from the book in such a way that it changed her character. I didn't watch further, maybe it would have gotten better? Anyway, books are nearly always better than the movies or shows that they are based on😉. Definitely read the entire series, it's neat to follow Anne through a good portion of her life!

@@ChantelReadsAllDay Book 7 of the series (Rainbow Valley) actually deviates from Anne's main storyline and follows another family of children in their town (although Anne's children are in the book too). So it has a bit of a different feel to it. Rilla brings it back to Anne's family again. Also, wanted to recommend Dracula for a fall read in the classic genre. I read it for the Read your Bookshelf challenge earlier this year and really enjoyed it! It's put together with journal entries, newspaper articles, telegrams, etc and I really thought it was a neat way to tell the story through multiple perspectives.

My daughter and I read Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde illustrated classic novel by usbourne and it was a huge hit. Of course I had read the story before and she had known the story from a movie that she watched but she thoroughly enjoyed it.

I don’t really know how to explain them- they can be mysteries but not in the Sherlock sense. Human interest? I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, he’s known for his twist endings. Check him out if you can!
