Same here. But, usually the SA colors I see on pinterest are too light. We're probably deep soft autumns from the 16 color palette. 😊

@@JC-yc8wg Yes, I seem to just "know" what looks good on me. The seagreen color is a beautiful hue on me, but try to find it in a store. In general all the deep plums (aubergine) look good on me. I have a coral dress that I always get tons of compliments when I wear it. Of course, olive and ambers look great as well.

I was told many years ago that I was a winter, but now I have found out that I am a dark autumn. I have very warm olive skin with yellow undertones in my skin, dark hair with red highlights. Warm makeup looks so much better on me. Thanks for this video!!

I have a greyish yellowish skintone, brown hair that looks warmer in the sun, and greenish hazel eyes, I believe I'm a soft autumn, soft khaki greens, beiges, terracotta are some of my best colours, but I think I can also get away with chocolate brown and burgundy. I also just got a cardigan that is a warm teal blue and was surprised how much it suits me. Black and white are terrible on me!

I'm now convinced I'm soft autumn. also I believe my daughter got more of the red/cool skin tone from my husband and she has much lighter hair than me and dark green hazel eyes. so I'm almost certain she's a soft summer. will be fun to see as she ages

Could you guy make a video about people who do not "look" their season? I mean people who have features suggesting one season but they look awful in the suggested palette and instead look great in something they theoretically should not? I am such person. I have very cool and ashy blond hair, dusty dark blue eyes (think ocean in winter), and I am pale (NC15 level, with olive, warm-leaning undertone). Every single test I make puts me in the summer camp - sometimes dark summer, sometimes soft summer. And I look terrible in the summer palettes. Instead, my perfect palette is dark autumn, and I can borrow some of dark winter (the darkest colours, not the pale ones though). All pastels wash me out. The blue I can wear best is petrol (but turquoise is terrible), even denim - if not dark navy - looks off. I can wear black but not white. It is because of the olive undertone? Does it happen often with people?

I'm someone who was typed many times as a cool season by online analysts until I finally got an in-person analysis and was typed as a warm autumn. I am super pale and clearly people think I look cool-toned, but the warm colors do seem to work on me. My brown hair and hazel eyes make sense as a warm autumn, but not my skin.

Deep autumn here with creamy white hair now at 66. Still intense dark eyes and warm skin. Dark colors still look best but wearing brown not so good.

I am a dark autumn (pro typed) with dark hazel eyes and the warm side of neutral skin tone. The color palette is dead on. But I have dark blonde/light brown hair naturally. I pull gold and red highlights in sun, but it’s neutral toned coming out of my head. These days I get the base slightly darkened with rich gold/copper highlights. It looks amazing!

I loved the video. Thank you so much. I thought I was a deep autumn since my hair is dark and my eyes are dark. However, the dark colors of deep autumn are too much for me. My skin is medium tan. I have olive undertone and tend to do better with neutral foundation rather than warm. All to say everything seems -ish when describing my features instead really dark. I did color analysis on an app and was surprised when it suggested soft autumn since my hair and eyes seemed on the darker side to me. After watching this video, I come to understand why that might be true. Olives, khakis, creams, even pinks and greenish light blues do better near my face instead of dark teal and burgundy. A lot of greys make me look dead too. 😅

I am the exact same as you. almost black hair, medium brown eyes, but light olive skin. I was convinced I was deep autumn but I don't think so and can't pull off black. how do you look in pumpkin orange and rust orange? I look good in those but look bad in warm red but good in cool red. I'm so confused. I also know that I look awful in gray tho unless it's dark charcoal (i.e. my version of black because black is too much) it's all fascinating and annoying at the same time 😂

​@hllymchll actually I joined a Facebook group for color analysis. I draped myself and posted the pictures. Turned out I was completely wrong 😂. I am more of a true winter. One lady in the group replied posting as a reply my pic with bright orange and one with a bright cool fuchsia and even though I hated both colors I realized I wasn't even warm toned. In the photos my face actually looked flawless with black and stark white. So my perception was why off.😂

Warm spring and warm autumn are so close! After yout hair video I am so torn. I have light neutral-cool skin, strawberry blond hair with super gold highlights, especially the ends, and warm green eyes with gold specks. At first I though I was soft summer. Then soft autum. Then warm spring 😂 Muted green colors kindof wash me out. I wonder if I could be a warm spring after all.😂

When I was younger I had a light to medium brown hair color with blonde tips from being outside so much, as I’ve gotten older my hair has gotten much darker. For the past ten years though, I’ve died my hair a vivid magenta and everyone I know says I should’ve been born with this hair color because it just looks like me, I feel most comfortable this way too. I have darker green eyes that sometimes can actually be hard for me to make pop. I can turn pink in the sun or get a tan that has a red undertone, I’m told it’s the Native American in me but I’m told all the time I’m olive. Grays can make me look sickly. I look good in navy blue, beige, burgundy-plum-type colors but I struggle knowing which Autumn I am. Also what to wear in other seasons because fall feels perfect for my palette but every other season, I always wear black, beige, white/ivory… suggestions?

I learned something new from your video. I am a soft autumn and was told to avoid pinks and blues, and truthfully shades like magenta or cobalt look horrific on me. Yet I had a very dusty cornflower blue top and I've worn dusty mauve and think I look great in those shades. I've been told I can wear coral, true red, and tomato red lipsticks but I feel like a little kid who busted into their mommy's makeup bag and went to town, lol. Instead I look great with the soft pink shades (especially with olive shirts) and plums look great. I'm was especially surprised at how dark a shade of plum I could pull off. So I guess I can wear some blues and pinks as long as they are soft and dusty. And I'll just say no to those bright shades of lipstick.

I have to get auburn eyebrow pencil and brown mascara to help get it closer to my hair. Drives me nuts. Now that I'm starting to grey I'm probably going to dye them. They have gone from ashy to grey blah. My eyes are very rich and warm green and gold hazel. My skin while very fair is very gold.

I heard you say no color contrasting in you are a soft. My Understanding is soft was the opposite of clear color. Soft is a color that is grayed out with black or white. Soft black and soft white are soft but contrasting. Burgundy paired with a soft white or gray is classic. Please help us understand. Thank you.

I know someone who has the same hair coloring as you two but when she aged her hair turned blondish brown instead of silver gray. Would she be a soft autumn or a spring? Her eyes are medium warm brown and her face is covered in freckles.

I was always told I was a winter. But now looking at your site I think I am an Autumn. My natural hair is a dark golden brown with some red tone to it. My eye color is a sea green color, very green though. My skin tone is warm. Kind of an olive, golden tone. My veins appear green. I always thought I couldn't wear yellow but recently I bought a vivid yellow sweater and everyone went crazy saying i should wear that color more that it just lights me up. So I think I am a true Autumn . Not a soft Autumn. Muted colors wash me out completely. I don't even like them. I look best in saturated colors. Your site finally made it less confusing.

So confused. My skin is fair olive, neutral leaning warm, yellowgreen ish. My hair is dark brown, my eyes are green, not really deep, (they can appear light glowing green in the summer and dark grey in winter) depending on the light. I think im a high contrast. Most comfortable in wearing toned silver, or brass, kind of discrete and not glowing.. thats to much. I struggle finding my palette. Usualy i be wearing black but its TOO harsh on me. I look pale. I believe im in the autum category, probably deep or true autum, bit im quite pale.

Autumn is soft by definition, just like Summer. Spring and Winter are the bright seasons. Dark Autumn and Warm Autumn are clearer than Soft Autumn though. I think they mis-wrote that and meant to write "soft."

I disagree about Zendaya being a dark Autumn. She is definitely a light spring. Please check out Cocoa Stylings videos on black women and season color analysis. Women of color can be light seasons! Zendaya looks stunning in blush pink, pastels, and cream. Not all black women are winters or dark autumns. I feel like Rihanna and Leona Lewis are the only non-winters/dark autism people ever mention.
