I’ve been professionally typed as a winter, 4 seasons, and cool and clear 6 characteristics. Just draping myself and talking loads of pictures has helped me to see that I’m not a true winter. Im 100% not a bright winter. I’m either a soft winter or a summer who needs the more intense or darker colours of summer. I have clear looking eyes and level 6 ash hair (naturally), but my brows aren’t that dark. I have an emerald green t shirt and it makes my face look ashen and frozen. Hot pink and fuchsia are just too much. The best colours on me are a rose pink and taupe, a purplish brownish grey.

I found that Amazon cardboard boxes perfectly fit one of the autumn brown shades in Carol Jackson’s book. My mom told me I looked tired one day (I’m an autumn and was wearing black-laundry day) and I held up a cardboard box and she was like “better” 😂

I have pure white hair and dark brown eyes. I am a winter, but you don't really show any examples that help me. My skin is cool olive. Something has changed as I have aged, though. The rich jewel tones are too much for me now and take over. I'm not sure what to do. I'm choosing navy over black, for example. Dropping down the vibrancy to make things less harsh. I am definitely moving towards? Soft?

Hi! I looked at your channel and tbh I still think the winter colors suit you. Hear me out on this. I'm no color analyst. But I was an anthropologist for the better part of my life prior to designing video games as an engineer. There is SO much diversity in the world it's impossible to make it all out. It's a marvel and plays by not the rules of color analysis, not by a long shot. Olive is a mix of tones, some scientists believe it's not even neutral but a mix of ALL tones (warm, cool, and neutral.) Yes, that makes neutral different than just a proportionate mix of cold vs. warm. It's still debated on this though there is research on it on the melanin front.You make olive by mixing blue + yellow. It is why Dark Winter subseason suits me so well despite how striking my eyes are. So especially when I'm tanner, you can see the olive my skin is has deepness/deepth. When I'm pale, nobody sees it until I tan though they then are like oh..... wow. You were right! At any rate, my eyes are not brown but gray. People mistake them for blue all the time but society just has no idea what they are looking at. Yours are brown and easier to tell that they are neutral. Hear me out I think you should start wearing maybe Dark Winter colors or cool winter. Keep the undertone the same. Matching your eyes. I'm on chemo atm and it's nuked my melanin. This is what I do. I would wear the same shades/palette but only use more of the lighter shades within that. I personally wouldn't move seasons or anything even if I let the weird gray/white/brown weird color I have grow out. That DW purple you have a video with slightly warmer/ neutral purple glasses and shirt. Looks SO nice. I think it looks way better on you than the summer colors you wore in your other video, like the super soft green shirt one. White and black still suit you too. I think it can be such a shock to see yourself in this light and you might feel so different. You very much however still look winter and suit winter shades. At least to me. :D

My sister and I are both winters but her eyes are so dark it's hard to see her pupils. I have light eyes. My Autumn mom had natural amber eyes. Every time she was out in the direct sunlight I would be in awe and could see her as a human version of an exotic cat.

I know I'm a winter, but people don't see it. 😂 Some do, tho. However, a little story. I wanted to get me some pearls. They come in various shades. I've are clear white (cool toned) and off white. The jeweler confidently chose the of white ones. It didn't look bad, but I wanted to try the other ones. He really looked at me... Probably not! When I tried then he was stunned good much better it looked on me. 😅 The same with the grey hair. Mine are white. There's nothing in between it some faded grey or any kind of warm in it. They are just white. 😂 However, in the sun my hair shimmers reddish.

If you think about it, dark and clear are neutral to cool, rather than being fully cool, so they share that characteristic. Of course one is brighter than the other, so I’m not sure about that aspect.

The iris can be tattooed? Dang, Scott Westerfeld's _Uglies_ series is becoming more and more a reality every day. (You may have heard it recently got a mediocre film adaptation.) Once the pretties in that universe get the mandatory yassification surgery, they sometimes go back for additional aesthetic adjustments (e.g. rubies in the iris that light up to tell time like an analog clock but go counterclockwise).

Deep Winter Soft: Deep Winter colours + grey (neutral-cool, dark and slightly muted) key words: jewel, rich, smoky, berry, deep, moody, dusky, oppulent, gothic colour suggestions: charcoal, soft burgundy, plum, teal, emerald, muted blues, maroon, dusty rose/pink, rich greens, slate grey, dark lavender, dark mauve, cool cream (I have black-brown hair, a light white skin with an olive overtone, cool hazel eyes (which look darker, than they actually are) and even though I have a high contrast, Deep/Dark Winter colours are not really working for me. My colours need some softness.)

If I use the color picker, I have peachy tones all over. My hair and eyes are on the neutral side, and my lips are a cool mauve tone. However, all of these surface tones are red base. Just a thing I recognized. 😂 I tried warmer hairstyles, but it always looks off and washes me out or makes me yellow, regardless of having a warm hair color. Yet, too bright and contrasted cool tones overwhelm me. Darken it with black calms it down, and makes it perfect. Don't be fooled by my picture. 😂 The original color aren't that light, neither is my skin tone, in a medium/dark depending on which season it is.

Redheads can’t be summers. Summers look bad in warm colors, so are you trying to imply that Sarah’s hair color looks bad on her? The hair literally frames 3 sides of the face, it has a lot more impact than a top.

@@emmamartin4045 hi, I looked at more videos of Sarah. In this one, the red looks cool, but not in the rest. Also I did more research on color analysis and I feel torn about it. Fir some, like me, who is 99%cool, it works. But I agree with root skin color theory and science that say we are all a mix of warm and cool and each of us unique like a fingerprint. So, I think the standard color analysis with the 4 seasons doesn't apply to everyone. I saw a great video that made me reconsider by Merriam Style, the latest subscriber analysis of body type and color palette. In the thumbnail, it was a beautiful Indian woman.

I‘ve been typed a soft winter and no, I cannot make summer colors work on me. Maybe the super dark colors, but even that is a stretch. They are too muted for me. They lack oomph.

So I have ash brown medium hair color, but if I dye it a medium brown, I do get a reddish pull. I have brown green hazel eyes. I have never had a tan in my life, I turn red from any sun exposure. . I have a red haired daughter so I don't know?? Genetics or what. We look nothing alike. lol I always have felt I look better in jewel tones.

Everyone pulls red when they dye there hair if they are level 6 or below. The undercoat color or level 1-5 is red; red orange for 6; orange for 7; an orangeish gold; and yellow for level 9 or 10. Sunlight also causes it.

So, question. I am either a true or clear winter (I’ve been told both, and it doesn’t matter too much. I just take from both palettes liberally anyway) Black hair, cool extremely pale skin, super dark cool brown eyes. Basically real life Snow White. I’ve also tried for years to dye my hair red, and it kind of makes me look jaundiced, no matter how much I wanna be a redhead. Would I go to autumn or spring to make that… not look bad?

I think we need to review summer. Light cool pastels are for light summer. LIGHT. True summers have dark hair, like Catroina Balfe, and soft summers have either light or dark, like Jennifer Aniston or Emilia Clarke. It's my opinion, and hate me if you want, that this new season Soft Winter doesn't exist and all these people can fit perfectly well into Soft Summer, where there's plenty of neutrality and softness and there can be gray hair. It's nonsensical to add one season only to Winter.
