I like your videos and your art, but if you are trying to teach people how to do things you need to describe things more, like if you leave drying time between layers, and how much drying time. Also, you tell people sometimes when you mix colors, but after you mix a color, I see you adding another color without saying what you just added. I'd love to follow along with your videos, but it was all over the place. I tried to follow along with the gouache but I had a wet mess after. I'm going to guess you had a lot of dry time between layers that you didn't mention. This is not a comment to bad mouth you, it is constructive criticism to help you if you are trying to help others do what you do. Because believe me, I would love to get the results you get. It might help if you do a painting off camera and write down the steps you take, then it is clear in your head what you do, because I'm going to guess when you do it you don't have to think and it just comes naturally. Again, I love your work and just want to help you be better at describing what you are doing.

Thank you! I know I’m a bit bad at explaining especially since these videos are short and I simply just can’t say all the things I do and English isn’t my first language so some bits are hard for me to put into words. I also can’t simply even remember every little detail and step. I create tutorial videos for people to be inspired by, I don’t necessarily aim to explain everything 100% so people can do exactly what I do, I don’t think that should be the point of painting tutorials. I like giving people the inspiration and basic tips and tricks and show how I paint something, but I also want my viewers to be able to use their own learnt knowledge, intuition and creativity so I don’t need to guide them through everything! I hope before hopping into a painting tutorial, people would learn to use their preferred medium so that when they know the basics, I can help them through that :) Plus another thing is that I of course hope that no one expects to make a painting that looks like mine, whether you have just a little or a lot more experience, your work will always look different! And about some of the things you mentioned, I definitely need to try and give some disclaimers in the beginning on these kinds of videos about those things. First of all, I never just use one shade/mix of color, even though I add the shades on the screen, I constantly dab my brush into another color and make different kinds of mixes. Please experiment with your colors in this way too! Don’t try to mix accurate color matches, just have fun with it and try a lot of colors and see what looks good, that’s what I do, I never have just a straight plan and follow it :) And yes when I paint on top, my layers below are dry but it’s not because I knowingly let and wait for them to dry. Different gouache brand colors also dry in different times I think and humidity also plays a big role, my paints are incredibly fast to dry. I didn’t think to mention it as it has never affected the way I paint but yes of course, let it dry before dabbing another color on top!! Thank you for your comment again, I appreciate you watching it and trying it out as well and giving me advice :) I will definitely try to explain myself better from now on or give a disclaimer on some of the things you commented! I will never be able to explain absolutely everything I do tho so of course I hope people try to most importantly be inspired by these tutorial videos and try something new, and find the absolute basic techniques and tips in another video because I just can’t give all of my learned knowledge in just one short video! 🫶🏼

@@Tiinasdiary thank you for responding. I don't think anyone is trying to copy your work but your work is so lovely that those of us trying to learn how to manipulate that medium we try to follow along with you. If English is not your first language you are doing just fine. One tip if you do want to guide people through what you are doing, film the video then add your voice after with what you are doing and what you are adding. This way you can watch back your video, take notes and then write out what you are going to say in the video, and it will be much more structured if you wanted to do it that way. if not, your videos are just fine, I love your work, I'm trying to use new mediums to me, I usually work with graphite pencils or colored pencils, I'm trying not to be afraid to use paint. I use paint but not for detailed work. After I followed your video and I wound up with a mess (because I didn't let the paint dry) that made me more afraid to use that medium and it gave me a little anxiety about using it again. I will try though. Again, thank you for responding, your work is amazing and beautiful
