I would absolutely recommend a weekend break - even to Palma over the winter months. Lots to see and even a sneaky day on the beach too!

We were just in Cala Esmeralda at the end of September. So nice to swim in the sea. We stayed in the adults only hotel half board. Lovely food and staff, beautiful clean hotel.

Got back from Cala Egos last week. Visited Cala Ferrera, Esmeralda, Gran, Pequita, Pou and Mondrago beach in the National Park which is stunning. Really did not fancy coming home. Thanks for the vid and reminder!

Great video. Been staying in Cala d'Or area since the '70s. Santanyi planning rules have stopped it being ruined. You're absolutely right about visiting 'slightly off-season'. We spent every September there, (end of August to end of September), from 2009 until COVID hit. Fantastic! (Fav beach? Mondrago, (if that counts?) Better than Trenc!) Placa Eivissa brings back memories. And Jimmy's Bar! Been there for 50 years or more! I remember 'Jimmy' himself before he retired.

Was in Cala Egos for 2 weeks in September and although the weather was a bit mixed, it’s such a nice place to be. Took my son for his first holiday and couldn’t think of anywhere better for his first holiday

Oh Michael - I bet he absolutely loved it! You'll have to bring him back next year! I really recommend Alcudia - great value waterpark, horse riding, watersports, interesting old town - just a thought for your next holiday ;)

Great video 😀 first time i ever went abroad back in April 1988 when i was 13yrs old was to Cala D'or. I have travelled all over the world since including as far as OZ,NZ fiji etc... but Cala D'or holds a very special place in my heart. I will be returning in July for the first time in over 20yrs and can't wait. Beautiful place 😍✈️🏝️

Just finished watching this, oh how gorgeous is this place. The beaches are crystal clear and the walk along the roads to the restaurant/ entertainment areas are just beautiful. The train would be a plus definitely 👍. September next year seems so far off with not being abroad for two years my feet are itching to get away, thinking of going next May all being good 🙌🙌

I am planning to visit Mallorca in September and was not sure if the weather is still going to be warm enough for beach holiday but from what I see in this video it is still very warm. The bays are gorgeous, I would love to stay in Cala d´Or and enjoy the swim in these waters.

We were probably swimming there around the time you took that video, we stayed in TUI Blue Rocador from the third and last week of September. We got a drone footage of our stay there on our channel. Planning to move to Majorca in the future.

This vlog brought back so many good memories. We stayed in Cala Egos ten years on the bounce pre-pandemic and absolutely loved it. The Cala D’or marina was within close reach and it was great to walk around it every night. We discovered the La Bodiga restaurant you featured in the latter years and thought it was wonderful. The other resorts in Mallorca never seem to match Cala Egos/Cala D’or but I guess everyone just finds ‘that place’ ?! 🤔

@@Warriors_and_Wanderers Quite an extensive menu from memory lots of options - some traditional Spanish, some more contemporary. We used to take my nieces there, and the youngest used to have a dedicated meal of her own (think there was a children’s menu). Used to get really busy, so recommend going earlyish - might be able to book.

Hi Letti - I've been on the beach on the 2nd November in previous years and even swimming inot December. The weather at this time of year can be changeable but I'm sure you can fit in some beach days too. They will just be shorter because it does get darker earlier.

Hey Emily. Normally it´s around 10 euros an hour. They haven´t put them on the beach yet, so unsure if the prices have gone up this year . But it´s around that!

In my opinion, it's the perfect time of year because it's hot enough for the beach, the sea temperature has been cooking all summer, so it's still warm. You may get a few showers thrown in but they clear quickly, but it's not so hot you can't sight-see. So normally around 25-28 degs! Little bit cooler on the evenings tho!

I would say there are... I can't remember but most beaches have them. Ask over on the Facebook group if you want to be 100% sure!

I watched your port de Pollensa video and liked it. This video was good but the awful canned music really turned me off. It is completely unnecessary. The natural sounds of a place, unless it's roaring traffic, are all that is needed, and much more interesting. It also helps one get more of a feel of the place.
