Awesome stream Sharla. I stopped into a Dotour while in Japan, not knowing anything about it and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee is decent and the food and snacks are actually pretty good as well. And everything is very cheap. Highly recommended if you need a quick stop.

In re the question about Japanese maples and syrup: it's the sugar maple that's used for syrup. I don't know if any of those are planted in Japan. Love your vlogs and photos, Sharla!
@malcolmdrake61373 жыл бұрын
People need to realize that it might be _their_ internet reception. So many times, on streams, people complain about reception when the rest of us are not experiencing any drop in quality. People complain too easily without taking in all the factors.

I sooo miss my Japanese maple I used to have in my old backyard... it died before I even moved.

Answer to your maple question: sugar maples produces the high content of sugar in their sap. Making sugar maple trees the only maple tree worth while to tap to make syrup.

Switzerland dose the same clean up all their leaves, we have wet weather here and in stage 5 lockdown in Ireland so it's a bit miserable, our second lockdown all because tourists from eu and UK especially came over when we had rid of it. So your lucky Japan not allowing tourism we have ruined our economy for a few tourists so stupid. So nice to see somewhere new.
