Hope you enjoy a slice of the Midwest through my eyes, friends! apologies for how shaky my clips are...filming in public with a lot going on is tough lol.

Man, I was stationed in Il for 7 years. I kinda miss it. Only 45 mins away from STL. I used to go to shows at The Pageant or Pops, the City Museum, Arch Lacledes Landing, etc...*Update Wait, were you at Pour @322? With the blue door? Dude, I used to go there all the time, in Belleville. Do they still have that very eccentrically decorated bathroom? I was stationed at Scott AFB. I still have some candles I bought from Grimm and Gorly. From there, I'd go east over to Fairview Heights and hit up the Guitar Center, Mall, Slackers, etc...Not hat I expect you to know those areas, but this is a bit of a trip to my past.*Extra update DUDE! I am familiar with Terra Haute too, as my 95 Oldsmobile Aurora's alternator died and I managed to make it to Terra Haute and was stuck there for two days back in the day... but more importantly...You were in Mansfield! One of my exes used to live in Ashland, Ohio (About 20-30 mins away) I have spent many weeks there and in Ontario. I used to go the the Barnes and Nobles and Meijer a lot. There is also an awesome Mexican restaurant in Ontario called El Campestre. I've also toured the Reformatory too! They have a bunch of Shawshank props too! Of note, I do prefer Ohio Amish country over by Millersburg, Berlin, Sugarcreek, etc...( and a little bit of Wooster too, though Columbus, Akron, Canton, etc are enjoyable too). There is a bookstore in Wooster Ohio called Books in Stock and it was next to a cool little basement coffee shop called The Undergound. I'd hang out in those two for a few hours every time I rolled through Wooster...good times. P.S. Sorry for the book...but this video was exciting to me due to all of the nostalgia.

wow!!! Yes, we drove by the Scott AFB on our way in (we took a back road way haha) and my uncle was actually stationed there back in the 80s and that's where he met my aunt...then he moved to the area and settled :) Yup, I was at Pour 322 although I did not use the bathroom so I didn't get a chance to see the inside. My parents stopped in Terra Haute back in the 90s when they were driving from Kansas to PA. My dad was in the army and we were living in Leavenworth, KS for a few years before moving to PA in 1994 haha. Since he was familiar with the area that's why he wanted to stop there during this trip. Thanks for sharing all you memories!
