I grew up listening to Gene Ammons and Dexter from my dad Then I heard Trane and Brecker. Sometimes i can think back to my childhood and remember how I would lay in bed and drop tears when Gene and Dex played a ballad. It really is all about the sound and voice. Love your playin.....

I live in a place in Normandy near the little village where the french singer, Yves Montand, had his house. This song (in french "Les feuilles mortes") was one of his favorit songs. I just have to open my windows and I am sure that he listen to you playing tenor sax. The way you play is very close to the original one. Thank you for this and continue to put on YT beautiful backing tracks..

Out of all the saxophone artists I’ve listened to your sound & style on these Jazz standards inspires me the most. So delicate, sparse when needed, lots of colour in the melody & the texture in the breathe really makes it resonate for me. Yes keep on posting!

When I worry about the state of jazz performance, this reminds how important it is for strong exemplars of swing feel on saxophone because while much fewer saxophones are being purchased than in the 1930s and 1940s, there is no contemporaneous swing music environment.

Great - especially as YOU row definitively and affirmatively among and between the chord changes. I would have adored hearing takes on tenor saxophone by: Bud Shank, Sam Most, Charles Marianno, Art Pepper, Lee Konitz, Zoot Sims, and yes, Aubra Graves, the unsung Canadian hero of "Organic Smooth Jazz" - in the strictest significance of the phrase, smooth + jazz. Excellentissimo - tone and ad lib.
