Wow. Who gave this less than 5 stars? This is definitely the best rendition of autumn leaves on youtube.

wow.What a level of jazz piano playing. One day I want to be on that same level and I wonder if I ever will be there
@TheOneRaf10 жыл бұрын
hook me up, get a 88 keys midi piano with some hammer action. Preferably Yamaha, some good sounding software, doesn't have to be big, and train day to day. First learn how to play existing pieces outside of jazz. Romance or something. Start with Satie. Develop, play without having watch the notes (memorize). After a while some primitive improvisation will come out. Train day to day. After a few years you will eventually be where this guy is now!

bullshit. this guy studied Bill Evans transcriptions and spent long hard hours retraining his classical hands to play block chord style, alternated scales, riffs, etc. You don't get to this level by only listening and playing around with some Satie. It's a lot of work.

@@AlfonsoGugliucci you replied!! thanks. What was your training up until this point when you played this song ?
@mstreminski8 жыл бұрын
I was actually playing this track on my speakers as I was playing my saxophone and I gotta say even though I was improvising over it it came out something beautiful. It really pains me to see such a beautiful art form slowly die out due to main stream music that is produced with barely minimal talent if any. They say only the real music is gonna last but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore now and days.

I don't think I could play this for someone and have them evoke a negative response. This music sounds good to people, its just that modern pop music has awesome marketing, so people will naturally gravitate towards it.
@Gustolibre7 жыл бұрын
I agree with you that what is popular now is formulaic, targeted and basically just marketing for an artist's 'brand,' but if you want that to change, and you don't want 'real music' to die out, than go listen to, and support the people trying to do it now. People like BADBADNOTGOOD, or Kamasi Washington, or Mac DeMarco, or Chance the Rapper (who you should give a genuine chance if you like gospel at all). It just bothers me that people complain about what is popular now, but don't support the things that they think should be popular. If people decide that they want 'real music,' the market will deliver.

Great, Alfonso, how you give extensive information about the tunes you are playing. That is quite unusual in the business of cocktail piano, and qualifies you as a great teacher. I really appreciate how much you share, dear friend ... and I am eager to learn more from you ...

Thanks etniko, the mini keys is from a free midi program "VanBasco".Before I recorded the song on the sequence (Midi Logic) and at the same time I shot the video. Then I put the Midifile (which I first recorded with the sequence) on Vanbasco. Then at the end I synchronized and splited two videos, one made by me to the keyboard and the second mini keys "VanBasco" made with "VidShot Capturer" also free to download.These two free programs can be found easily on Google.
