Fell in love with this rendition few years back. Took me years to learn the entire song. I can only play like 10 classical songs , and this one is like my go to piece everytime I grab my guitar. And after years and years of playing it almost everyday, I kind of master it to the point that I can play the entire song with my eyes close. I'm self taught so I feel so happy for myself. :)

You have every right to be proud of your accomplishment. Congratulations! This is a difficult piece to master. (I'm still working on it myself.) If you haven't purchased Yenne's latest version of the score, you really should. Not only does it help her out, but also she really fine tunes the score (including tab) to reflect what she actually plays. She also includes her photo in Central Park, and a notation guide as well... Sixteen wonderful pages in all!

Is the guitar tuned besides standard EADGBE? Between being low on money and wanting to ear train I'm trying to learn some of the song just from the video. Planning on buying the tabs once I've figured out a chunk of it but currently I'm wondering if the low E has to be tuned up or if I'm just mishearing a note?

@@lordarcas11 I'm thinking after looking more that I'm getting it now and that some of the notes I'm hearing are either softly overdubbed or like resonance stuff, like the first one I noticed that didn't make sense I was playing up an octave so I still get the same sense just not quite as much of the bassy tone, which is pretty soft in the video anyways

If I may say, this is like a set of variations on the evergreen song "Autumn Leaves" for the classical guitar. It is an evocative arrangement capturing the gradual changes of colours in nature when autumn is approaching. Your performance in the beautiful setting was wonderful and expressive.

@@rarebirdrecords6902 I'd not heard that version before but I've just listened to it and thought it was amazing. Totally different in style obviously but quite a crazy interpretation that bounces all over the place! He's like a pinball machine inside a washing machine, you get lost in some sections then he comes back occasionally with a slight hint at the original melody, only to go bouncing off again in a new direction and pace. Finally finishing with a peaceful glide back to base. Amazing, thanks for the heads-up. 😉👍

I did listen many versions of Autumn Leaves. However, I wanted to replay this version for multiple times. I can feel that it soothes my mind, give me meditative moments in this hard year. I would say Yenne was practicing lots of technical skill like other excellent guitarists. But her soul is very different, especially in the Autumn Leaves.

I think people saw that I was recording and gave me space. And with lots of noise from other street performers at the time they probably couldn’t hear anything I was playing. The audio of this video was recorded separately in a studio.

I originally thought this video must've been "finger-synced" because of the audio quality, but given how well you synced to the audio, I started to wonder if you did record this outdoors with an excellent internal-mic and somehow got rid of the ambient noise and EQed it to sound like a studio recording. Great job!

I figured it had to be studio dubbed, very expertly though as clearly she's practiced enough to nail it both times to sync up. I'm wondering if anything was added in the studio though, I just started looking at it and I'm hearing a lower note at the start that seems like it must be a different tuning or just dubbed in to add a tiny bit more bass? Looking forward to buying the tab sometime soon though but until then I'm just speculating with my ear, it's great practice though.
