awesome buys , lucky you live close enough. Looking forward to the mock grape jam with the beets. I love beets too. Wow for the onions !! Hi Michelle, great video! Love the part in the beginning with all the starlings (I think!)You found some great bargains! A friend of mine just canned 23 jars of beets. He was able to find 10 lb bags for $2.97 here in Ontario. I am really interested in the process of making the beet/mock grape jelly. That would make an interesting video! Take care.❤

I can't believe how cheap things are on the East coast! WOW! On sale or not, the prices blow my mind. (I live on Vancouver Island). Thanks for the tips and tricks but buying roasts to grind is still out of the question. Everyone in my family loves beets. I make borscht. There are so many different recipes. The jelly sounds interesting. I might give that a try. Thanks!

Dayton Red & White doesn't seem to have their usual spectacular Fall display this year. :( Have not had it for years, but I like beetroot sandwich in the Summer. In Australia, a slice of beetroot is a typical topping on a hamburger! It is surprisingly good.

Beetroot sandwich sounds interesting 🤔. I have never heard of that before. I think that Dayton Red and White may have their display up now. They seemed to be later in getting it put up this year. 😀 This year we have 3 orange pumpkins 🎃 growing in our garden, so Joshua still has his Halloween pumpkin this year. 😀 Good times ahead. 🎃 🎃 🎃

I don’t think you can buy kool aid anymore. At least I couldn’t find it in AB.

I agree, Bernice. I am not so sure that they sell the small packs of kool-aid anymore. I went looking for them. But they did have a Kool-aid Liquid Drink Mix that comes in a small bottle/container. They had a grape 🍇 one, so I picked it up. So thankful there was a plan B. 😀 I am sure it will be fine for the jelly. 😀
