It sounds like life has worn you down to a certain degree. But take comfort in knowing people listen to your videos and share your pain. You seem like too nice a guy to let the world depress you so much.

I cried because of how much I relate to your words, especially this time of my life where I feel different and isolated from everyone. I struggle to do what is expected of me and I have to pretend to everyone else that everything is fine but in reality I am being tortured with self-loathing. I hope it brings you some degree of comfort knowing that there are people in the world who share your pain as it has brought me in a way that I do not know how because I would never want for anyone to go through this kind of pain. Thank you for sharing. I wish you a good life.

Andrew, your video has moved me to tears. I don’t think I have the words to express how keenly I relate to what you talked about here. Or how much I wish you could see how much of your “old self” I can still see. As an avid watcher (and rewatcher) of your old videos I need you to understand that you still have the same spirit. I still wish the best for you because I know you wish the best for us. I don’t think you should dwell too much on who you were or what you think you have lost. Maybe try to reclaim some of it, yes, but don’t mourn what I think is still there. In the words of a famous wiseman: All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to us. Mush over. It’s great to see you back & I’ll always be here.

My last video was from 8 years ago, but I started posting again yesterday. I’m coming across all of the older asmr channels I subscribed to here and I stumbled across this video. I completely understand that feeling of loss when I look back at my old videos because I’m definitely a different person. I hope you’re doing well and sending you warm thoughts!

This struck a chord with me as it feels like it could’ve come verbatim from my own journal. I so hope you can slog through these painful feelings soon, it is awful being stuck like this. I found your videos 4 yrs ago and still love them now; you have a wonderful demeanor and creative soul. Thanks for still coming back even in the midst of your struggle; know that your videos have helped me greatly in dark & anxious times. 💕

Just went back to a video link I saved of yours, "when the world doesn't make sense" so I wanted to see what you are up to. I've been with your channel about 7 years and watched your changes. You touch my heart deeply. I see that light in you and I also see and recognise your pain and those dark moments that you live. An artistic soul is a double edged sword. This medium is very frustrating because normally in REAL LIFE I would have encountered you and we would have meaningful conversations and frivolous laughs. Both are necessary to survive. I hope you have such people in your life. I hope you are well and have people close to you who you share your heart, thoughts and feelings with. People you love and who truly love you.. Thank you for the times that you have bolstered me. Don't be so hard on yourself.

I know you may think others won't understand, but I do intimately understand both what you mean by professionalism not allowing parts of yourself out, and a lot of what you mean about being a different person than you were, and being scared to even look at your old self. "The trick is to not leave behind the things that bring you joy" yea I wish I told myself that four years ago. If you've struggled with anything like I have: Accept yourself as you are, Andrew. Don't beat yourself up. That only makes it worse.

You may not be at your happiest but you make us all happy and there’s a big support system here. Don’t think so deep and hard on things or it’ll wear you out. You still have that you that you miss in you at your core. Like you said you’d work on it and grow to feel better. Take every day step-by-step. Things may be hard to play heads or tails with but you got this Andrew! Nobody is perfect! Be the best you that you can be and never apologize for it. 💙💙💙

Good morning, dear one. May you see the world and yourself with refreshed eyes and a renewed heart. May the blessings in your life be abundant. May your photographs let you see the beauty in life and the small things so that they crack open your being and help you to feel joy. May vulnerability lead you to true growth. May your choice to be happy influence you in the best of ways down to the very fibers of your being. We are glad to see you back and whole heartedly appreciate you.

We often find ourselves lost when we are faced with change. We are scared to be the best of who we are because we feel as though if people see that all the time they will always expect it and with that we are worried over failure. It’s why we can recede emotionally, spiritually and sometimes physically. Yet, we forget that when we find the love within ourselves and for ourselves we end up attracting that kind of love. Take time and be patient. Everything will come to you in time and even much grander. If you can’t see it just know we can see the person you wish to be. The person we see even through the hurt. You are forever loved.

I love your content, it’s unique in a way i can’t describe. Don’t feel pressured to create if it’s not easy or if you find it cumbersome or stressful. We love you regardless and we’ll be here if you need us. ♥️

Experiencing your introspection vicariously was really cathartic. The backdrop is a morose one of being smothered by monotony and increasingly living for others, but your emotional connectedness and authenticity outshines that. Your internal dialogue is expressed so purely and honestly. I connect a lot to how you feel like your reclusive/elusive tendencies conflict with an urge to unleash creative energy and produce some tangible thing which feels like your truth. I can never tell whether such a thing exists or whether it's just a by-product of feeling like a walking contradiction. However, I have always viewed my hazy and pluralistic sense of self as a source of security. I don't want to get bogged down in abstractness...although the subject matter you evoke is definitely in that realm. I'll just say, you come across as an extremely genuine and self-aware person. Your consciousness precedes your circumstances. I may be projecting, but my fault is delaying plans of self-realisation to the detriment of my present actions and behaviour. I try to abate that by investing myself in my passions and in learning, but at times, I am overcome by a hint of melancholy when I reflect on how disconnected I have become from my past self. However, losing parts of us isn't necessarily a mistake, sometimes we need to part with aspects of our lives to gather our thoughts and grow in other areas. Our fault is viewing time linearly and seeing the past as a lost piece. This self-sabotaging limitation is one of perspective. We can revisit these parts within us and revive them, approach them differently and, perhaps, with more maturity. Reality will always bring the most hardened idealist into times of existential crisis. The only cure I have found to console myself is to find truth within me, speak it aloud and embrace my intuition. I hope you have found more inner clarity since this video.

You sound so down and depressed...as someone who’s suffered from depression most of my life, please don’t assume it’s something you have to just “get over” or manage on your own. Please seek support and help. Fear, uncertainty and insecurity have a way of owning us if we don’t have tools to overcome them. You are not perfect, but you are SO very valued. No one is perfect. You’re not alone. You are delightful and creative and your tender heart is still seen, even in your discouragement. ❤️👍

For someone who has experienced and walked through the depths of the underworld and abyss, I understand the sentiment, if only because it's something I have faced as well, but what I have learned is that the greatest strength can often be found once you rekindle the flame akin to how a star would when illuminating the raven night sky, ya know?

I commented below before I heard your whole video, are You alright? You sound really sad,be well,My Friend and please take comfort in the fact that you have alot of People who like you.Don't feel bad about not watching your old videos,,I got away from Facebook and Book signings because they left me feeling like I wasn't good enough, like I could've always been better. The truth is we are all who we're supposed to be,and the reclusive thing?I get it,I don't even attend rallies or publicly speak anymore, and that was BEFORE the pandemic.Sometimes You just need to get away and You think it's your fault, and it isn't,it's just something we all go through.Keep your chin up,hard times are a dime a dozen but they always pass. And most important, don't measure yourself by other's reactions, and don't be too critical of Yourself,You're perfect just the way You are!
