Oooh Kim!! I can't wait to see all your makes made up. You choose the most gorgeous fabrics and I just know the makes are going to be stunning. 😍😘

Very impressive, Kim. I do like to cut when I'm not really in the mood to sew, but I hate tracing. You are organized enough with your project sheets that you can confidently cut into patterns knowing all the adjustments needed. I think it's fun to have a bunch of projects ready to sew when the mood strikes. Can't wait to see all the pretty things made up.

@@kathymcconville6428 thanks Kathy. This batch cutting has made things a lot more organised. I've ordered all my bits and bobs for my projects and I'm on a roll of productivity. I'm quite excited about my forthcoming makes. I hope you enjoy what's coming your way 😆❤️

Hi Kim, I hate the tracing stage as well, I now prefer weights and a rotary cutter after a lifetime of pins and scissors. 😊

@@linvin18 thanks Linda. I think this is why I make notes so I can refer back and learn from previous makes and only adjust when I know I need to. I'm enjoying this batch cutting method. Have a lovely week ❤️

Looking forward to see your makes, especially butterick blouse/shirt. Cutting out difficult at present, hip replacement to come. Will try to get through my last 2 stash fabrics (precious) this week. Will try your cutting all at once system. Tx for inspo!

@@gerrysiebert8639 thanks Gerry. Hopefully you're hip op isn't too far off the horizon. I felt definitely more productive cutting out lots of projects at once. I think I'll carry on with this new habit in the future. I have a basket of things to make and feel more inspired to pick up the next project and get going. Take care of yourself ❤️

Amazing fabric saving with the pyjamas! I'll be needing another pair of winter pyjamas, as I repurposed one set into a summer pair as they didn't feel comfortable to wear. I like stretch so I have some cotton lycra ready that I bought in Leeds a few weeks ago. I am already into winter PJs so I'll need to be cracking on with those! Look forward to seeing the Downtown jacket. Still looking for some fabric for mine. I'm currently trying to juggle two garments, which I've never done before - PJ bottoms for hubby and linen trousers for me. I have toiled them both and need to make a couple of adjustments on hubby's PJ bottoms. We had a trip to Birmingham last week (horrendous trip down and back due to traffic holdups, etc!) and I made a few purchases from one or two fabric shops!! As you do.

@@Yorkygirl59 you sound busy. I've tried this year to stop juggling projects, but it's hard when you're waiting on purchased stuff to arrive. I think I'm planning better and my WIP box is grateful for that at least. I love going to fabric stores, but sadly there don't seem to be that many around me unless I want to travel into London, which I don't, though I'm thinking of going to the Knitting and Stitching show in Oct at the Alexandra Palace. Need to see how my diary works out nearer the time. I had a trip to Cambridgeshire to visit a friend and thankfully the traffic behaved. It's luck on the day and whether the traffic gods are on your side 🤣. I think I need to look into toiling new trousers patterns, but I'm being lazy! Have a great week ❤️

@@stash_stitcher I try to keep busy, but I do have days when I don't sew, depends how I feel. Birmingham was OK but a lot of the fabrics were polyester, especially in the Rag Market. I managed to get a couple of lengths of viscose from the two nice shops in the centre, and then we went to Guthrie & Ghani which is in a suburb, and I bought some cotton for a shirt for hubby and some nice ribbed stretch fabric for a warm top. There aren't many fabric shops near me either, although I did find out about one not too far away, which we visited last week, but there was nothing that jumped out at me (and lots of polyester again). I went to the Harrogate show last year and bought a couple of fabrics, but I don't think I will go this year. We were considering a trip to stay in London for the Alexandra Palace show but decided against that in the end. I do want to go at some point and visit the Goldhawk Road, which a lot of people rave about. We'll see.

@@Yorkygirl59 I'm trying to understand fabric composition and weight of fabric. I've been buying samples, which in all honesty is slowing my fabric purchasing down (not a bad thing). It's hard as the fabrics online make it so tempting. ❤️
